minimum 3 players
Disappointed that minimum no of players is 3. As bought for 2 to play this was a disadvantage. My fault but disappointing

A challenging and engaging game.
Good quality components and an interesting game that is derived from “Castles of Mad King Ludwig” and “Between Two Cities” In this game players literally sit between two Castles and play cooperatively with the players on either side of them to construct rooms in the Castles. Placing the rooms in the most advantageous point winning configuration is the challenge as their relative positions to each other can gain or lose points. The iconography on the tiles is mainly the same as “Castles of Mad King L” so won’t be difficult to learn by players of that game. Two players can play but this game is definitely best with 3 or more. The tiles are all housed in convenient purpose made trays that are superbly designed to facilitate easy access and removal of said tiles. This game is eminently replay-able as there are so many combinations to the construction of the rooms. To win players count up the points of the completed Castles on either side of them and have to take the one with the lowest score for their final points. Now one thing; the iconography on the tiles is quite small but becomes readily identifiable once players become familiar with the game. This game can be a challenge and a lot of forward planning is advised as once tiles are placed they cannot be relocated to a more advantageous spot. A nice addition to my games collection.
