Better Houseware 148 Splatter Shield Silver

Big and wide enough to contain the grease splatter.

Not a sturdy product. Small flimsy tabs hold the three pieces together. First time I used it one of the tabs broke off, I don’t recommend this item. I’ve had an older version of this for more than a decade and it’s in fine shape. This was supposed to be a kitchen gadget for my son. I tossed it!

It’s a very good concept, it does serve it’s purpose but... the edge is very sharp be very careful... It is Flimsy and it will come apart easy and most of all, you don’t want it drop on your feet... It did not happen to me but it might if you’re not handle it with care. I don’t believe the phrase “You got what you paid for!”, because this is Amazon you’re supposed to find good item for great price.

In this photo, the Norpro 2063 Stainless steel guard is the darker one and this silver one is the Better Houseware splatter guard. It is shorter by an inch and very cheaply made. There isn't even a real hinge between the panels.At the time of this review, the Better Houseware guard cost $9.99 and the Norpro 2063 cost $7.99.I don't knock the people rating this guard more than 2 stars. They probably have nothing to compare it, but this item is very poor quality compared to the better made and cheaper Norpro 2063 gueard.

It really works. Keeps the rest of the stove clean

Functionally it is great and does what it is supposed to. On the negative is a poor hinge that keeps coming apart.

This item is to small and does not cover around the skillet. It gets hot and it is not of heavy duty material.

Yea - I had this product a long, long time ago and had not been able to find it again. I am so happy to find it again. I only purchased one in case it was not an expected! I will order at least two more to keep as back up. I love the fact that anything I fry stays with the skillet rather than covering the whole stove. I have the glass top on my stove. It is easy to clean, but any spatter on the rest of the stove needs thorough cleaning.

Protege muito bem o fogo do vento!!

Quedo muy pequeño para un sartén mediano, de cualquier forma tuve que forrar con aluminio la pared porque alcanzaba a salpicar.Las uniones no son bisagras son solo ranuras donde embonan pestañas del mismo material y constantemente se salen.Lo único destacable es que se limpió rápido, pero realmente no me sirvió para lo que lo compré.

I can't believe I wasted $ on this. It is so tiny that it doesn't do what it is supposed to do - catch splatter. It serves on purpose - so confusing! It is the type of thing that you buy at a dollar store and are upset that you wasted a dollar on it. Unfortunately, I'm unable to return it.

the flat fold design and size of the splatter shield is good - but needs to be hand washed to maintain the finish
