More Life-Size Zoo: An All-New Actual-Size Animal Encyclopedia

Bought this with the intent to gift to my toddler, but upon arrival realized it would never survive. It is really cool, but the foldouts would be mangled by a young child, let alone a toddler. I ended up adding it to my 8 y/o nephew's gift as I liked the book's concept very much. My kids were pretty enthralled when their cousin opened it up, but the book's survival depended on it not being theirs. If your child is only going to look at with an adult or older sibling, it would be great for kids probably 3 or older. I'd say 6-8 for a gentle child. The only negative I saw was, based on the size of the book, I would have liked more animal facts. The book is beautiful regardless, but for the amount of space it requires, I, personally, would prefer more to it than just (awesome) pictures.

Each of these Life Size books is excellent. You might suspect given the fact there is a Life Size Zoo that "More Life Size Zoo" will be a bit of a rip-off and a way for the publisher to eek out extra money from fans. You would be wrong.These books bring to life animals like nothing else. Many children will never have an opportunity to come close to the various animals they see in these books. There are familiar and unfamiliar animals throughout the work. Even if kids do get to see them, they will be separated by dozens of yards. Every person who has grabbed and looked at this book has opened up the lion page and said "wow, I never knew lions were that big." It's awesome.If you are looking for something educational and fun, this is the book. Each page has information about the animals themselves, their names, location, etc., which brings them to life and connects children to them. There is also a description of the animals, enough fun facts to digest without going overboard, and a great picture.Recommend.

My 5 year old daughter loves all things animals and LOVED this book. We look at all the pictures, I read the facts to her and she asks questions that sometimes send us to Google, but we really enjoy it! We actually have two in the series and enjoy them both. I highly recommend it!

I LOVE these books! There are 3 in the series (that I know of) and they are such a favorite in our house. My kids love learning about animals - but even more when they see how big (or small) animals really are. Highly recommended!

After reading the rave reviews by other users on the life-size zoo series, I decided to buy two books for my 2 kids (aged 4.5 and 1.5). They absolutely love the books! My younger girl just couldn't resist kissing some of the cuddly animals on the book, and was a little afraid of the scarier ones.It would have been better if the centre binder of the book was done in such a way that the book could open 180 degrees without distorting the image (centre portion of the image that spreads across two pages are distorted by the binder).Nonetheless still a great buy. Really high quality pictures and fine detail. Makes great presents for young kids.Thank you!

This is an over-sized book. Has great pictures. My animal lover son loves it! It is a little too big for him to handle but that is what he likes most about the book. Because of it's large size, the pictures show a lot of detail. It's a great buy!

Our children love going to the zoo's. Know they can learn about all the animals in the zoo's.
