Sturdy, and so easy to put together!

I really enjoy these. I like using pretty bottles as candles. However the “nibs” on the glass do not allow it to fit over some liquor bottles. It doesn’t fit tightly on this wine bottle.

If you find the right size and shape bottle this is a nice oil candle. I normally save glass bottles as I'm getting rid of my plastic in the house and have found some drink bottles, small perrier/peligrino and others that work pretty well. However, for almost every bottle it's a bit loose still. I don't want to permanently mount the glass to the bottle as it will make it harder then to take out the wick and refill the bottle. I just find something to pad the sides with so it stays there. They are pretty nice looking and you just need to play with the size and shape of the wick to find the amount of flame you are looking for. I usually just use the leftover stick from stick incense or a paperclip to tease the end of the wick. Most of the time the wick is at or below the end of the glass wick part and I get a good flame still. I can't comment on the oil too much as I use a high grade refined lamp oil just in case. In all I think I've bought around 7 of these.update 4/14: The quality of the one I received from Amazon is not the same as the older ones I've bought. The wick is slightly thinner and shorter and the opening of the glass wick holder is subsequently also smaller. It doesn't light and last as well as the old ones. As well the one that shipped from Winestuff is NOT the same as the regular gift set. I still have more coming and hope that this one was a fluke. The one from Winestuff doesn't have the glass wick holder but instead the ceramic wine stopper. The wick is also shorter. The flame protector is also thinner. This fit much much better over the wine bottle so some good and some not so good. The old ones are still going strong even if the flame protectors don't fit as well.

Love it .. need to order the wick n fluid

Does not fit most bottles. Used a "typical" wine bottle. Glass globe is very loose and tilts. This was a replacement for a similar product so not completely satisfied.

I use these out doors on the deck and they work great to keep the wind from blowing the flame out. The wick holder is effective but needs to be set at a very low flame level to keep from smoke developing.
