Organize canned goods
This Che'mar Stackable Can Rack Organizer, for 36 cans is nice for the price. I have a freestanding cabinet that I keep canned goods in, and I was looking for something to make the cans more organized. This works great. You have to put it together. It’s easy to do, took a few minutes, and no additional tools were needed. It holds 36 cans nicely and it looks a lot more organized. I usually write the expiration date large on the top or label of the cans, then I organize with expiring first in the front and on the top rows. Then I rotate out as I use the cans. This way I don’t have to squint to see the expiration dates, I use the oldest stock first and it makes organizing the stockpile easier. The piece on the rack to separate the columns can be easily adjusted so if you have different sized cans in that row, it keeps them nicely in place.

good for organizing cans
if you need/want something to help you organize your cans then this is great.... if you want something to strictly save space then save your money and put your cans in a cardboard box like cans in the grocery store come in..... I was interested in saving space AND organizing soup, veg., tuna cans so I could easily see what I had and get to them quickly..... if does a great job of all but saving space.... I ended up unloading it and putting the cans back in a cardboard box from the grocery store and putting it downstairs in the basement storage room... don't get me wrong, it's a great little (expensive) gadget to organize round cans but it takes up too much space in the pantry... it's not deep enough to completely fill up any of my pantry shelves so there's a large area behind it that I have to fill up but then I can't access or see what's back there.... if my shelves were the same (or close) depth it would have been a better fit for me..... for SHTF use it would be great for narrower shelves or to put in front of known stuff like water bottles or something you know you have but don't need to access very often..... well built, easy to assemble, excellent functionality but limited or specialized use and IMO too expensive to house approx. 36 cans...

Sturdy, Easy to Assemble and Use Just Right for Me!
Stackable Can Rack Organizer, Storage for 36 cans - Great for the Pantry Shelf, Kitchen Cabinet or Counter-top. Love this can organizer! First, I only got 10 regular sized cans per shelf. BUT, since I could only get two rows (back to front of cans and 5 rows (length), that did leave some space at the front of the shelf. I just placed 3 cans (end to end) along the length of the shelf at the front of the 5 rows. So, I may have to move one of them to get to one of the cans behind them. No problem for me. Plus, I placed my shelves at a 90 degree angle to the back wall. That gives me room to withdraw cans from the back or the front. The cans with the larger diameter, I placed on the top shelf since they are so difficult to extract from the opening of the shelves. Also, I stood these larger cans upright thus allowing for me to place more cans there. I have some cans such as 8 oz. tomato paste cans which I also put on the top shelf, thereby giving me more than 36 cans on this organizer. Regular sized cans (most vegetables, etc) work well on the two lower shelves. I still have room on my pantry shelves to add some of the jar type items (allowing for room to pull out cans from the shelves of this unit). Oh, I have deep pantry shelves which allows my system to work for me. I really like that I can see at a glance what canned goods I actually have now! I read one review about the shelf being flimsy. I can see why that was stated as the shelf will "fall apart easily" if it is picked up by any way except the top (very top) holders. Once set up where you want it, it is stable and sturdy (although, I would be careful and not put too much total weight on this organizer). Personally, I found the dividers (plastic) to be useless and unnecessary. I think this would work great for canned soft drinks, too. I recommend this product! :)

Love it Love it Love it!!!
This looks great in our pantry, and allowed us to use 1/2 the space all these cans used to use, and we still have open space for more cans on it. (Three cans were used for dinner last night so there is less than usual.) I may get another if I ever run out of space, we will see. Previously we had to stack cans on top of each other and they were always falling off creating a cluttered mess, and we could never easily see what was in the back without having to move a bunch of the cans out of the way. When the shelf is full, that's difficult. We eventually used two containers/bins to keep them together in one area, but was hard to see what was on the bottom! More moving of a lot of cans out of the way and bin just to be able to pull up each can on the bottom to read.If you're like us and have more than just 9 types of products to match the 9 columns this offers, and don't have the kind of Martha Stewart OCD that refuses to mix products in the same column (like a store shelf,) this will allow you to easily see what is behind something else. ;) Like my enchilada sauce shares my tomato soup column, and could conceivably have a beef broth behind it. LOL - I think I just made Martha shudder. It is fairly sturdy once assembled, a bit moveable and teetering slightly with a bit of pressure or wiggling by your hands, so we were at first worried it wouldn't be as sturdy as everyone says it is, but once in our pantry with the weight of cans on it, it is rock solid. The heavy gauge steel with an elegant chrome finish is also true. It does not feel like cheap metal/wiring but exactly like solid 18/8 stainless steel. Of course it isn't, so time will tell if any corrosion occurs.Dimension help:Our shelf has 15" of space between the shelves, and this fits perfectly with at least an inch of headspace above the largest sized can, and about 1 1/2" - 2" above normal cans. It's height measures exactly 13 5/8" (13.625") high.It is exactly 12.5" deep, and 16.5" wide to the outer edge of the shelf hooks. We had to move around where we stored our cans and reorganize the shelves so that we could put this on the shelf that had enough height. I personally wouldn't place it on any shelf with less than 14" of height, but I'm sure it could squeeze into a 13.75" space. That would leave about a 1/8" clearance, but since you pull from the front to remove a can and push from the front to put cans on the shelves for the bottom two rows, you probably wouldn't need more clearance on the top either.Nice buy. Enjoy!
