Little Red Hot

This is a great twist on a classic story. The book itself is beautifully illustrated, with lots of whimsical characters and names. The pages are thick and smooth, the book is superb in quality.The story itself is also fantastic. I'm a gen one immigrant, often times I didn't know where to seek help.So I grew up with, let me try to resolve this before asking for help, type of mind set. When I entered society, I realize a lot of people aren't like that. The first they do when they encounter something difficult is to open their mouths and yell for help... Yes, it is all right to ask for help, but why not give the problem a shot first? The author did exactly that, whether Red Hot intentionally or unintentionally did what she did, she tried.I highly recommend! I think I will get the Three Tamales as well!

Like many Kimmel books, this is a fun re-imagining of a classic story. Kids will immediately recognize that it is a version of Little Red Riding Hood and enjoy predicting what will happen. Fan of Kimmel's other books will recognize cameos of the the Three Tamales and Senor Lobo (from The Three Little Tamales). As a teacher, this is great for teaching about how changing the setting or characters will change the story, as well as for predicting and comparing/contrasting.

This story is a hilarious twist to the fairy tale story Little Red riding hood. My boys 4 & 6 y.o love it! The illustrations are awesome! Def recommend! 😍

It's a cute take on Little Red Riding Hood. My 4-year old grandson likes the part where the wolf catches on fire and rockets through the ceiling of grandma's house. I'm a bit of a purist when it comes to fairly tales, but this version is ok with me.

I love this book. This is an awesome book. When I first opened this book I coukdn't put it down. I love it very much. ( This was my daughter's review). Mom's view is that it's a fun fractured fairytale that sets Little Red Riding Hood as a strong, brave and thoughtful girl. She is the hero in this charming retelling of the classic!

This is from the same man who wrote The Three Little Tamales. This story is a Texas version of Little Red Riding Hood and I adore it. It follows the same premise as the original, but is set in Texas with a Texas theme. In this book Little Red makes grandma soup and cornbread made from a variety of hot Chile peppers. He names the peppers, how hot they are and gives safety tips on handling hot peppers. You'll love it!

It is a great story to read and a funny version of the original. My students thought it was very comical. Little Red Hot was hilarious.

I love fairy tales, and this retelling was great :) The southwest details are right on. The pepper descriptions for the ingredients for the pie were funny. Little Red Hot will be a welcomed addition to my (home/school) library. Great illustrations that enhance the writing. Thumbs up! Pepper charm!!!

とにかく激辛好きで激辛ですべてを解決する…みたいな斬新な赤ずきんちゃんです。娘も私も大好きなのですが、読み聞かせは英語の苦手なお母さんには少し難しいかもです。でも絵でストーリーが想像できる部分もあるので、面白いお話が好きならぜひ挑戦してみて欲しいです(^^また、一度状態の悪いものが届いたのですが、交換の対応がとても早かったです！
