Not satisfied for the price.
My honest review, I have shot a few videos with this and it's not working for me ( meaning) as you re ored on the monitor it has a delay from the video to the words. When you are shooting with your focus meter on I believe it's focus meter the then when u can set to focus on the object and u can see what's in focus. But any who, with that onand recording on the monitor it adds noise and grain to the footage. I thought it was my lens but recording on the actually camera it's perfect. I'm shooting on the S1H 24-70 LMount. After you are recording for long period of time the monitor lags hard.Mabe it's me because I'm new to the atomos stuff so it my be me with the settings or whatever but these are my issues. Touch screen good colors good. I know it's to late to return it so I will just use this just for a bigger monitor. Until otherwise

Amazing Product!!! VERY IMPORTANT TIP!!!!
First let me say that this is an amazing product! I have NO regrets investing in the Ninja V, it has put my Sony A7iii on steroids. Not only that but my work flow is so much better. I'm usually a gorilla style type of shooter so if you know, it is very important to be in complete focus and to be able to know what's going on when you're running and gunning. I haven't even tapped into all of the features yet but am excited to do so!So now for the VERY IMPORTANT TIP. I found this out the hard way so hopefully this will help others to not make the same mistake I did.I usually shoot 4k on my A7iii with a Crane 2, the Ninja V outputs fine with no issues at all, but when I shot in HD for slow motion, there was a major problem! Now I'm not sure if this is the case for other cameras but if you're shooting with a A7iii this is for you (I would still check for other cameras as well). When shooting HD and recording on the Ninja V, the Ninja will actually record the cameras Screne Meters into the footage you are shooting! This caused me to lose all the footage I shot for the day, thank God I was backup camera. The FIX is this: go to Menu / Setup / HDMI Settings / HDMI Info Display and turn it OFF! I may be completely ignorant to this but I had no idea the Ninja V would have recorded the Screne Meters on HD only. Hope this helps someone!

Great monitor!
I love my Ninja V - not only is it super bright, but it has features that I love - like false color. Battery life is good and for the most part I have no real complaints. It can get a bit loud compared to other monitors, but its understandable because it also records. I wish it had SDI built in, but that would bump the cost up even more. I think the only feature that I would like to see one day is in an internal battery AND an external battery. That way if you want to go ultra light you can do for a couple hours and then switch to external/heavier when needed.

Best monitor!
I use this monitor on 95% of my jobs. Records very well. Would not be without it for video work. I even occasionally use this as just a monitor for photography jobs. Great for clients to view shots as well.

So far, I'm liking it.
I purchased this to allow 10-bit color when recording from a Panasonic DVX200 camcorder. It took a bit of fiddling around before it would work. The initial settings I used apparently were more than the Atamos could handle, so i had to step down a bit in order to get the record "button" to go from grey to red (indicating it was active) so that I could initiate recording. It was frustrating, as I bought this to improve the quality of the videos I was capturing. But I was able to record 10-bit as stated and I guess it was my fault for not having realized that it couldn't handle 10-bit with everything else maxed out. I'm not sure if the limitation was even the Atamos, the DVX200, or the storage drive. I suspect that the Atamos was the issue but I could be wrong.Whatever the case, it still enables me to get better footage (greater color depth) than I otherwise could out of the DVX200. And the screen is easy on the eyes with plenty of assistive features like false colors, focus peaking, and the like. The DVX200's screen isn't very large or bright, so this is a nice step up in that regard. Pass-through via HDMI to an even larger screen also worked just fine. I used the larger screen to see what my fottage would look like without any enhancements and the Atamos screen to gauge focus and exposure with the built-in assistive tools. So, overall, I can recommend this tool. It's probably worth researching exactly how it will pereform with your specific source device but, that aside, it's a purchase I recommend for those who need a better screen and the ability to record externally.

Real recognize real lol
Works great with my xt3, pushes it all the way to its overheat limit cuz 4k60 10bit continuous recording Lol. Only issues I’ve had is trying to shoot with my meike fisheye lens, the circular image was shaking within the black space of the borders of the 16:9 aspect ratio. If you don’t plan to specifically shoot with a fisheye lens on a fujifilm xt3 then this is pretty much worth every penny. Solves the whole h.264 and 5 editing issue on PCs

Faulty unit - Terrible customer service
I purchased one of these and did not use it right away. The only time I had it in the field, the HDMI input was intermittent showing “no input”. No matter what camera (a7r4, a7r2) or cable combination. I RMA’d it and Atomos service said they could not replicate the issue in an 8 hour “bench” test. A bench test does not account for movement on a mobile camera system. Very disappointed that I have to put energy into this. I expected to pay good money for a good product.

Every bit as good as the Ninja Flame
I have a podcast. There is nothing in the world like recording hardware where if the world goes to heck, it keeps on ticking. It is smaller than the other Atomos devices and the firmware updates are contact, constantly evolving features that have only improved and not diminished.
