JURASSIC WORLD ROARIVORES Sinoceratops

This is one of four dinosaurs we purchased from the Jurassic series. He is surprisingly durable to be a sound toy. My daughter loves the color and the caretaking in the texture, she has a dinosaur fan!

When it comes to Jurassic World toys, "accuracy" should always apply to comparing the figures to the film, not to real life. Docking points for a JP raptor toy not having feathers would be silly. And for the most part, Mattel's line is very true-to-movie. That comes to an end here.This "Sinoceratops" is actually a Pachyrhinosaurus, a creature that has never been in a Jurassic film. The JW Sinoceratops had a nose horn and holes in its' frill. This critter lacks those things. Apparently Fallen Kingdom was originally going to use this species but decided to change it late in development. Unfortunately, nobody told Mattel in time.That unfortunate mistake aside, this is a nice figure! It's up to the usual standards of quality this toyline has set, with strong, good-feeling plastic and nicely posable limbs. One odd note is that (on my figure at least) you can remove the tail of this dinosaur after attaching it. Every other Roarivore has their tail permanently lock into place once you've inserted it. It's not a bad thing, though, because the tail still attaches firmly and won't come off unless you want it to come off. Think of it as a Dino Damage action feature, I suppose!Also, I have to compliment Mattel for making an entirely new sculpt for this dino. They could have gotten away with just changing the head on the Triceratops Roarivore, coloring it green, and calling it a day, but this is a brand-new mold with some subtle but cool differences compared to the Triceratops that give it a character of its' own.I have to dock a star for the species mixup, but aside from that this is another great release from Mattel.

This is a gift for my four year old, Dino-crazy granddaughter. I have no doubt she will love it, especially when it roars and I will offer no argument when she takes it home.

My 4 year old loved the dinosaur but the noise feature didn’t work so he was disappointed with that. Nothing a new battery can’t fix.

I got this item for my great, great nephew who turned 4 recently. He loves dinosaurs and loves the Sinoceratops figure. He is very happy with it and I'm sure he will get much enjoyment from it.

Es una figura fantastica, sus colores son sorprendentres ya que tiene verde, blanco,negro y naranja. El molde es perfecto, como yo esperaba.

All is good as far as i can tell. Havent taking it out of package since it a xmas gift. So i.just hearef the roar and saw the dinosaur in its box. Looked good to me.

商品名は「シノケラトプス」になっているけれど、これはどう見てもパキリノサウルスだ。映画に出てきたシノケラトプスは、鼻先にセントロサウルスのような一本角があって、フリルには穴の空いた復元になっている。そもそも、企画段階ではパキリノサウルスを登場させる予定だったのが、中国のマーケット狙いで中国産のシノケラトプスに変更されたという経緯があったらしい。なので企画段階でのパキリノサウルスの造型のまんまでシノケラトプスとして商品化しちゃったという事だろう。因みに、パキリノサウルスの鼻面には、ケラチン質の角があったかもしれないと言う説もあって、ハズブロから発売されているJPシリーズのスピンオフを商品化したパキリノサウルスにはその説に基づいた角が生えている。アタックパックとかで、映画デザインのシノケラトプスの発売に期待。
