Perfect quick read for studying for the USMLE. Ethics can be a hotly debated topic, and people can have varying opinions on what to do. This book in an easy, quick, and fun way breaks down the algorithm for how to answer ethics questions on the boards. While the author notes the study of ethics is a very rigorous discipline, the author notes those people studying ethics don't have to pass a best answer multiple choice exam. I have no doubt about getting ethics questions right now heading into the USMLE Step 1. The book is divided in half, half going over various ethical situations on the boards, and the back half filled with questions. Great study tool. Will update if my opinion changes.

The layout was good and the content was concise and very clear. However, after taking some ethics exams, I feel like they should add more practice questions and hypothetical/real examples. I think there are a few topics that don't get covered sufficiently.

I use this in teaching my First Year Medical School Ethics classes primarily to demonstrate how the Boards might want to see the "answer" and how often the suggested response tothese are so superficial that it makes the perfect launch for a more approproate discussion.
