Better than OEM (2013 GTI DSG)
Great product that surpasses the quality and functionality of the original DV on the 2.0 tsi engine.I didn’t have any genuine reason to replace the original dv in my 2013 GTI apart from “I wanted to” and after reading up it sounded like a common problem with these cars. My car is completely stock apart from a magnaflow cat-back exhaust, but i’m planning on an APR tune in the future so this seemed like good proactive insurance. The difference is very subtle, more like the car just had a really good tune up. Turbo lag from slow rolling starts is much less noticeable and manual downshifts with the DSG feel a little smoother, like the engine is able to “blip” and rev match a little quicker. Overall everything just feels smoother. Light to medium throttle acceleration feels better and more consistent. The engine feels a little more eager. I purchased the car with 37k on the odometer and am up to 75k, with all factory maintenance performed, and this is the best it has ever felt.My car had the revision “C” valve on it, which just has a plastic plunger that’s supposed to seal and hold boost pressure, The silicone sealing surface and brass plunger on the GFB dv+ are just a whole lot nicer no matter how you look at it. Install was easy with the front of the car up on ramps and the instructions were extremely easy to follow. For all of the negative product reviews on this part I have to wonder if something wasn’t quite right with the install or if it was a defective piece. Do yourself a favor and watch an install video on YouTube, as well as how to spot a fake one.

I was reluctant to buy this at first...... HOWEVER .....
2013 mk6 GLI, stage 2 unitronicI honestly couldn't be happier, with this dv+. Smoother, crisper throttle, less turbo lag and no CEL. I have a single mass flywheel conversation and now has less chatter on acceleration. I don't have to press the gas peddle as deep to get going, and the throttle is SIGNIFICANTLY MORE PREDICTABLE AND CONTROLLED. RIDICULOUSLY SMOOTH! I have the revision D diverter valve, so I was reluctant to install because I held boost really good, although it would drop to 12-14 psi by the time it hit redline. Currently I spike at 26 psi, hold for 21 psi till 5k rpm, and redlines at 17 -18 psi, which is fantastic for a stock ko3 turbo. Fuel economy is definitely improved by 2 mpgs.Sound wise it doesn't flutter, however it has a subtle sound when shifting gears or letting off the throttle. It's sounds like a very muffled Co2 air gun, just enough that you know it's doing something over the stock set up. You have to really listen for it. I can't describe anymore, just buy the damn dv+. Install took 20 mins tops

Excellent
I have a 2006 Audi A4 Quattro, and the check engine OBD code was saying there was a fault in my diverter valve. Instead of replacing it with the same poorly made stock diverter valve, I opted to upgrade to the GFB Valve. After watching a few Youtube videos and spending several hours of tinkering under the hood, I finally got this bad boy installed. Boy it doesn't disappoint. This thing is rock solid and wont tear like the stock rubber Diverter Valve will. I immediately noticed the performance increase, with faster turbo and much less acceleracion delay. My Audi has never been so much fun to drive. This is a MUST if you need a new DV.

but I'm happy to say mine appears authentic
If you aren't aware, there are a lot of counterfeit Go Fast Bits parts. Search "Fake vs Real Gfb DV+" and you will find a youtube video to help tell the difference. I paid below MSRP here so I was afraid I would get a fake, but I'm happy to say mine appears authentic. I bought mine from the Amazon seller "Gunner Performance". The packaging all looks correct and the piston has a nice, tight, perfect tolerance.

Immediate felt the different in my B8.5 A4
I watched quite a few videos before purchasing this part for my Audi A4. The install was pretty easy, but you should be careful with un-torqueing the fastners in the tight space. Once the OEM diver valve was off the upgrade was pretty straight forward with the new assembly fitting together seemlessly. Once assembled the re-install was much easier thanks to the longer fastners and experience removing the OEM valve.Regarding the performance improvement aspect, it is marginal and most drivers would not notice the difference unless you fall under the following categories.1. The OEM DV is defective and the car is slowing leaking boost, not enough to rise a error, but it will impact performance. You will immediately feel he difference when shifting gears as the boost retained between shifts is greater.2. You have upgraded hardware and have turned your vehicle. Those with a cold air intake should be able to hear the turbo spooling as a results of the increase in airflow between the factory intake system and an after market system (IE, CTS, APR, etc...). You will hear and feel a noticeable different in pull of the vehicle as you shift. The RPMs should not fall off as hard as the level of boost retained will be greater.3. Those with manual transmission. My B8.5 A4 is stick and the different in the responsiveness of the throttle after gear shifts was quite noticeable after completing the install. No additional HP or Ft-LB, but quicker access to the power of the vehicle. The long and short of it is this is part is a must have for those with a turbo for greater reliability and marginal performance improvement. Though I highly recommend this for those who are upgrade the performance of their vehicle as the additional power from modifications will stress the OEM diverter valve beyond it's design tolerances as you continue to add more power.
