First of all I have nothing but praise for ALL YOUR MUSIC. You order they deliver in good time and conditionThis is the great rock n roll swindle a punk rock film which is great butWith crude censorshipSome called soo catwoman should be naked but has crude underwear painted on!Then a scene with Steve Jones defacates on a gold record is cut slightly a quick shot of the feaces on the record is missing!Then we have Cinema scene with Mary Millington and Steve JonesThey get it on and the view of miss Millington behind has crude black knickers painted on!SHE WAS A PORN STAR!I don't understand the reason for this unnecessary censorship or any censorshipStill a great filmUnbelievably I watched an uncut version on channel 4 late night TVAnd tragically sid vicious and Mary Millington never saw the finished version as they both diedThis film is an inportant piece of rock n roll historyAnd this version is worth watchingMalcolm Mclaren a pioneer who came up with more or less the music industry todayHe could make anyone a pop starUse the media to hype it up and get cash from record labels who hire and fireSid vicious is the GimmickCouldn't play but looked the partSimon cowel role model is Maclom MclarenI never watch any of cowels TV shows but Maclom Mclaren would have made a great judgeVery sad when he diedI visited his grave at Highgate cemeteryAnd payed my respectsGreat film and rock n roll history to bootProving one again the 70s was the greatest decade of all

This movie is an entertaining look at the sex pistols rise to fame in 10 simple steps, told by manager Malcom Mclaren, its a must see for pistols fans. Although it was released after the death of Sid Vicious and the departure of Johnny Rotten, it still contains rare footage of both, including sid's last ever interview and unreleased studio tracks. Sadly this Film has become a rarity because of the fact it has been discontinued, I have a very bad copy of it on Video Disc and it is very hard to find on VHS, a couple of years ago it was released in Japan on DVD but sadly it wasn't released for long so to find a DVD version is even harder. So Instead of Releasing instead of just releasing Sex Pistols CDs For the pistols 25th Anniversary, Virgin should have released the Great rock n roll swindle on DVD.Hopefully this title will be released on DVD in the near future.

I'd seen this on tv donkey's years ago, it's a bit of memoribilia if you love the Pistols, which I do. I was a bit disappointed to receive only the disc in a clear cd case, no sleeve came with it, still fot the peice it was good value and the disc itself looks to be free from major damage and scratches, it did advertise as 'repackaged' and I did wonder what that meant- now I know!! No doubt I'll enjoy the film again when i watch it this weekend. Great bant, great music.

If you loathe the Sex Pistols then give this a watch and you will find even the loathsome Johnny Rotton comes across as quite heroic when you view the loathsome people in the media and music who criticised them at the time. Well,even if you loathe them one has to admit they did change the face and direction of 'pop' music at the time. As for Sid Vicious' 'My Way' It really gets to the essence of what a contemptible bastard Sinatra and his Mafia connections with the same song's hubris-tic overtones as Sid as he tell's us, certainly did it his way. It's good entertainment and might rankle a few feathers hopefully in the process.

Grew up in this era. This is one of the few films that I saw twice in the cinema (probably because I was in my teens and cat woman took her kit off on it). This is the version where Virgin realised that she was underage and had to rotascope a bikini on her to get past censors and the law. Love the cartoons! God bless the queen eh John?

Whilst the item arrived promptly it was in disappointingly poor condition, not compatible with English DVD players, scratched and the cover broken.I have returned it to the supplier and am waiting for a refund.

Having disposed of a mountain of old VHS tapes from the Attic purchased a few of my favourite films of all time on DVD for posterity. Bought used - arrived in excellent condition (Case and DVD.) I look forward to horrifying my Husband and Children (Both adults now!) with this classic.

An interesting film in full frame, but clearly & open matt as the sprocket marks are clear on the right side of the screen.Not a bad copy, extras are a narration & an interview that has sound problems.As for the film a mix bag or more of a curiosity but a nice companion to add with The Filth & The Fury.For those into the era or the music, others may wish to steer clear.

In a nutshell, this DVD presents this material superbly as I'm sure it was originally intended. As cleanly and clearly as possible. It totally captures the spirit of the British Punk movement. If this interests you, super—but be warned . . . it is not for the faint of heart. There's a lot of rude stuff in here. But then—that was part of punk. In closing, I'm VERY glad I got this, and I'm intending to get another copy a gift for a friend.

Articolo arrivato puntuale, come da aspettative. Unica pecca, come ha riportato da un altro utente, è la totale assenza di sottotitoli (anche in lingua inglese), quindi per un non madrelingua inglese la comprensione risulta un po' difficoltosa. Nonostante tutto lo consiglio per gli amanti del genere.

Film ist Großartig! Ist allerdings Ländercode 1, Nordamerika. Man sollte also ein zweites Laufwerk haben oder noch genügend Ländercodewechel.
