SATA to USB 3.0 Adapter Cable for 2.5” SATA III Hard Drive, Converter for 2.5" SSD/HDD (NOT Support 3.5" HDD)

My Dell Laptop self-destructed it's motherboard and would no longer boot. I removed the HDD and used this cable to retrieve all my data without needing to resort to "hope and prayer" that the Windows Backups would actually restore. Worth its weight in gold!

Works as intended for

Purchased to check a junk drawer full of old hard drives. It worked fine for this. Also could be used to power an external storage solution, though I wouldn't count on blazing transfer speed, it should be adequate for most. One note though is the very short length. 8 inches or so. Keep that in mind for your needs.

The 5 star rating is for the customer support and service. Had an issue with the cable adapter. Contacted customer support who quickly responded and rectified the problem.

This product worked fine for a few months, but it is very obvious it is cheaply made. Now something in the adapter has shorted and it tries to pull to much power from USB ports, even when a drive is not attached to the other side, indicating the problem is with the adapter. It would be wise to spend a bit more and get a better one in my opinion.

This works great. Easy to connect and supports using the drive just as it should. I do a lot of drive repair work, so this lets me connect to the small drives without having to remove them from their mounting hardware. It is fast and seems to be supporting the full range of software that I use on the drives. Definitely recommend.

This is a very good tool. And at a great price. Unfortunately I had to return it because it was the wrong item I needed. But it looks easy to use and durable.

The usb port to my portable Seagate hard drive had been failing for years, and i didn't think there was any way to fix it. Finally, one day i couldn't connect at all. I found a solution on YouTube and the guy in the video said that this was the part i needed. It is an awesome alternative to accessing all of my files on the hard drive 🙏🏽

This works exactly as described. Fast USB 3.0 data transfer, easy to connect, and good value. Used this to transfer data from an older SSD to a new one. My case is rather tight so I used this adapter, then swapped out the drive. Great to keep around if I ever need to access older drives.

Put simply, this cable works! Great value for money. I purchased this cable to upgrade an old laptops hard drive from optical to SSD. I had previously purchased a different brand, from elsewhere, and paid considerably more, only to find that it didn't work at all, so a complete waste of money and time! This cable is much better value, the quality is fine, it arrived quickly and works perfectly! The laptop I used this on is approximately 10 years old and this cable draws enough power from a single USB port to function. It is a USB 3.0 cable, but is backwards compatible, so works without issue on a USB 2.0 computer. The cable is quite short, which wasn't an issue for me at all, but worth a mention.

I previously ordered the cable which was from pibox and unfortunately that had issue of getting disconnected automatically, hence replaced . Then the replacement product was working fine but as USB 2.0 . I was getting transfer speed around 30-35 MBPS , hence returned again . After all these struggles thought to try this one and this is absolutely excellent product as of now . Gets connected as USB 3.0 and gives around 90-105 MBPS (max speed of my hdd) transfer speed :)
