NF-R8 redux-1800, PWM Quiet Fan 80mm

I can't say enough good things about my Noctua PC fans. I've always been bothered by noisy computer components, but this fan has completely changed my experience. It is so unbelievably quiet that I have to double-check to make sure it's actually running. The silence is a stark contrast to the stock fans I was using before, and it has made my entire setup feel more serene. Beyond the silence, the performance is top-notch. Top notch (they're Noctua, of course), near silent and not brown... I'm using four of these in the front panel of a home theater rack-mounted case with no filter blocking the view or noise. They look nice, and are surprisingly quiet (I'm used to 140mm or 120mm fans and was expecting these to be louder). Great!

Includes hardware, easy to install, doesnt take up a large footprint inside your case. Easily worth the money. The speed is decent and theyre relatively quiet

These little things aren't just diligent, quiet, and hard working - they're also very cheap! They do exactly as intended and get the job done nice and easily. I have absolutely no complaints about their function. Only 4 stars for 2 reasons: - Under load, they are not nearly as silent as they are when idle. Those little fans can work themselves into a force much louder than any of my other case fans. Which is periodically distracting when under load, but otherwise understandable. - They don't move all that much air. It's good at keeping certain areas cool and breathing a steady, lax flow - but even under load it isn't going to turn your warm RIG air into the Siberian winds. If you're considering getting this product: Stop thinking. Just get it.

Purchased two of these for use as intake case fans. One mounted on the side of my case next to the GPU (had to get an 80mm with the CPU cooler I recently purchased a 120mm would no longer fit Rosewill Blackhawk) and one taking up 2 5.25" drive bays in the front of my case, giving me 3 intake fans on the front of the case (2 120mm 1 80mm) Using these fans with a Rosewill 4 pin PWM fan splitter so they only use 1 fan header off my mobo, and they are both controlled using the same setting. The one in front replaced a series of 3 40mm fans in a 5.25" drive bay, they were so loud it became really time to replace them, I went with a single fan option this time instead of the 3 small ones. They really did move some air, and really helped move a lot more air in to my case, but they were so loud. These fans are whisper quiet, you really can only hear them run at 1300RPM and beyond. Very satisfied with my purchase and very aesthetically pleasing being darker colors than the typical brown / tan from Noctua. Please make more black / grey / white fans !!!! Only wish they came with some more hardware, the redux is severely lacking in accessories compared to their main line of fans.

I got this to mount on the interior cage of an HP Envy TE01 in order to pump a little extra air into a small case. You can fit two 80mm fans on the cage if you are using a smaller GPU such as the GTX 1650 and if you do not add a hard drive to the extra bay. I fannibalized the second 80mm fan from my heatsink. The first 80 mm fan will fit towards the bottom of the cage beneath the two notches that form a corner. You should be able to fit a fan down there even if you have a bulky GPU. The second fan goes directly above above and offset slightly so that it doesn't hit the extra hard disk cradle. The screw holes align perfectly with the cage. I recommend using M3 hex screws with nuts, though the stock screws should also work fine. Note that the ideal fit for the first position is probably 60mm. 80mm fits fine but with only one bolt. This is why having a smooth and balanced fan is so important. This fan doesn't vibrate the cage, which is exactly what I wanted. The inside of my case has a little extra air coming in and the components are happy. This tower needs to last me a little while.

You can use this as a pcie slot fan! So I bought this fan with the intention of placing it under my graphics card at the pcie slots to help remove hot air from underneath the card and it works! It works really well! I was lucky enough that my 2070 super has enough room underneath to mount it inside the case., not too sure it'll be that way when i get my 3080, otherwise i would have put it on the outside and i would do it without hesitation. I used 4 tiny zip ties and it works! we all know hot air rises, but thats when air is relatively still. My result? This 80mm fan underneath the card expels a lot more of that HOT gpu air out the case than my top 120mm exhaust fan ever could alone. I dropped a few degrees doing while gaming on cold war same settings and all so I'd say it was a worthy mod. Compared to existing blower pcie exhaust fans out there in my opinion this is better, you move air in one large "wall" of air rather than the blowers which inherently suck from either the top or bottom depending on their inlet. How loud is this thing? I run it at minimum 80% duty with a fan curve that goes up and can hit a max of 90% when gaming. But even at full power this thing is so dang quiet compared to my 120 mm fans For the price, you can't beat it. if you've thought about doing such a mod like I have, I highly reccomend it!

Really quiet fan. Doesn't move a lot of air, but it's sufficient for cooling my mini PCs inside a 10-inch rack. I've bought 2 to mount side-by-side, blowing out outwards and it's kept temps about 5 degrees cooler than previous noisy 80mm (generic brand).

Excelente ventilador, es silencioso y mueve una buena cantidad de aire, en mi caso me ha funcionado a la perfección para disminuir la temperatura; claro que por el tamaño, al trabajar bajo condiciones exigentes el ruido que genera es perceptible pero no llega a molestar.

Fait le job dans un silence remarquable. Le bundle est moins fournit que la version non Redux (il n'y a que le ventilo et des vis), mais ce n'est pas vraiment un problème Inaudible à 850 trs/min avec low noise adapter. Bref, foncez !

Have 3 of Noctua's 120mm fans currently running in my system. This has been a great addition as well; especially for the price. Moves a lot of air, and does so quietly. Great job by the seller as well. Product was packaged nicely, and does not have any defects. Good quality control on their end as well. Note to Noctua :- Please provide a Y-Header cable & Long fan screws for easier installation and airflow management. PSA - People have been known to say that even Noctua fans produce a lot of coil whine. Any fan motors over 800RPM start being audible, and especially over 1200 RPM the whine becomes painful. It's just that Noctua's fans are super stable, and move a lot more air for the same speeds. If there are multiple fans in the system, run a system software to tweak/manage the fan curves to provide optimum balance between cooling/noise.
