Brim Low Acid Ground Coffee, Regular Blend, 12 OZ

Bought this coffee because I had read of Groucho recommending it, in Steve Stoliar's "Raised Eyebrows". It's not bad! Tastes like coffee, but does not give me those unsettling jitters of being over caffeinated. I only drink drip coffee black, so not sure if it would taste good for those who prefer additional stuff. Taste great by itself."Speaking of coffee, one other aspect of lunching with Groucho stands out and that was his fondness for Brim, the decaffeinated coffee substitute. I cannot count the number of times I witnessed his unsolicited testimonials on behalf of this particular beverage. Coffee would be brought to a guest and, while Groucho sipped his Brim, the conversation would go something like this: Groucho: "What have you got there?" Guest: "Coffee." Groucho: "Coffee's bad for you. You should drink Brim. It isn't bad for you and it tastes wonderful."I can only imagine the money Brim might've made off Groucho had they recorded these "endorsements." But, of course, Groucho's comments were intended for home use only. I have the feeling that if the Brim people had furnished Groucho with a script for a commercial wherein he said words similar to the preceding, he'd have tossed the pages against the wall and thrown the advertising people out. I am honestly surprised to say this, as I wasn't expecting much from this brand name, compared to all the great coffees out there... but, this was AMAZING. Such awesome flavor, no bitterness, no acidity, just a nice flow of simple, fresh flavor, the way coffee should taste. And then reading that they have added extra nutrients and all just makes it that much better. So... TWO complaints... but not about the coffee...1) There is now a coffee-maker brand using the "BRIM" name, so if you Google for the coffee company, it's near impossible to find. Yet, BRIM coffee apparently bought the trademark, so I see a legal action to be taken by the company against the others who simply took the name. BRIM coffee could very well become hugely popular once again, IF the marketing is done properly.2) The price... it's a bit pricey, however, I will say it's worth it by far, so I will definitely be buying more of this, as this is all I drink now.I highly recommend any coffee lovers to try this. No matter how snobby you think you are, I think you will really enjoy this. I'm just pushing it hard, because I don't often find products that I really fall in love with like I did with this.

I didn't realize that they were still making this. It came up under my search for low acid coffee. A bit pricey but good flavor for low acid. The price is the reason I took off one star.

Looking for a low acid coffee and this hot decent reviews but I find it to be pretty meh.Not a lot of flavor even if you make it strong. Tried mixing it with others and it just didn’t taste any better.

If you like OJ with breakfast and like coffee too- this coffee allows for the enjoyment of both, without acid problems. The taste is superb and not bitter, like nasty burnt coffee. Smooth, flavorful, robust, low-acid coffee!

I mix regular coffee with low acid coffee. Brim ruins the taste. I switched to a different brand.
