Perfect replacement casters for Blackstar s1-412b.

When I initially purchased my VertDesk V3 (72" x 30") I opted to not have the additional wheels/casters for $43 the company wanted to charge for them. Seeing as any YouTube reviews said it affected the stability of the desk when raised I decided to save the money and have a more stable desk. Well, after moving twice and about to move a third time in as many years, I was going to buy the casters offered on the BTOD website, but they were $53 when not purchased with the desk, they were currently out of stock until the end of the month (August), and adding to it they said it could take a couple weeks (25-300 business days) to ship them out. Since they kindly listed the threading and stem height on the item page I checked around and found these casters. They arrived next-day, were well protected for shipping, easy to install even with a desk still stacked with work. I ended up using a pair of 2" x 4" boards of wood to help with the install instead of clearing my desk and turning it on its side. I raised one side of my desk up and slid the wood boards under the legs spaced out, installed 2 casters, removed the boards, and repeated for the other side. While the stem length is maybe a quarter of a centimetre too long, you really can't tell they don't go with the desk. The ones offered through BTOD are 15" casters while these are 2" casters, and after installing them my presets for the electronic adjustable settings were all off by 2 inches, but that has been easy to fix as well.If you have a BTOD VertDesk V3 and are wanting a solid set of casters, get these. You'll save $20+ off the set from BTOD and these look nicer. Moving my desk will now be so much easier with these casters on it!

These wheels lock not on the wheel but also the spinning of the caster. This is a great feature. It made my desk more stable and shakes less compared to the wheels I replaced.

Not a fault of this company but the shelves need to be tapped as the poorly cut threads are too tight on the shelves for the well cut casters.

Product came as expected, and when expected. I bought a few different ones, but had various issues with them. To include loose bearings. Which will only mean that they will fail sooner. This set seems pretty durable and decently made. Overall I’m satisfied with it so far. I put it on a rolling cart that has my grinder, table sander, and a bench router on it.

It’s a good product overall however, I ended up keeping the other model which had brakes on all 4 wheels.

All four wheels delivered were severely "dinged up" with chipped paint all over. One of the four wheels had a large gougeon the sidewall and all four had marks/scratches on the contact surface of the wheel. Packaging looked well worn too. Overall my impression was that the product I purchased was used, and not new as it was advertised to be. I did a return/replacement, and the second set of wheels delivered were nicked up again, but didn't have the large gouge. Either the two products I received were both of used quality, or the packaging is such that allows for the wheels to damage themselves during shipping through jostling or rough transit. If you care about the cosmetic look of these wheels, think twice. If the look isn't a concern, they are probably a good deal (although there is a chance they are used).Positives are that the wheels are sturdy, contact surface is rubber and soft, not hard or plastic, and the wheels turn and rotate smoothly and quietly.Minus one star for quality. Minus one star for packaging. Plus three for price/value, and sturdiness.
