This does not self heat and in fact due to the looseness of the product, it is hard for your own head to self heat anyway. Better off wrapping cling film round your head as it has more of an effect that this shower cap like product.

Be advised that on the first use the elastic band is super tight. It left a mark on my forehead for about 24 hours!On the second use, it wasn't that tight anymore, and no mark.It's very good otherwise, and does what it says.

Good size, I’ve got long hair and after henna dye my head is very big, still got plenty of room. Only down side is that it is not as warm as advertised
