The Fellowship of Ghosts: Travels in the Land of Midnight Sun

Order and read this before my trip to Norway. I enjoy the book a lot. You probably do not need to be going to Norway to enjoy this book, but it did add dimension to my trip.

Liked the beginning, but a bit bored by the end.

Paul Watkins has written an excellent travel book, fun to read, informative, suspenseful. He makes you feel you're there with him, waiting for what happens next. He writes with love and skill. I read this book before a trip to Norway, a country I'd never visited, and was grateful for Watkins's insights about that fascinating country.

Fantastic prose; especially great to read while in Norway or heading that way. Highly recommend this book.

The first 5 pages are wonderful. The next 50 pages are mildly interesting. Then i started to skim. I got this book because i enjoyed his "Night Over Day Over Night" so much.

Earlier this year we went on a Hurtigruten boat trip around the Norwegian coast, this book was named in a suggested reading list.
