After my charger has split I was looking for a replacement and this one is genuine if you were on the fence. Hopefully I can take better care of this one now.

This is exactly the same charger that came with my laptop when I purchased it, however it broke in exactly the same place as my old one did, but this time in less than 6 months!The plastic casing protecting the wire is coming away from the jack, exposing the wires. I remove the charger from my laptop carefully every time so it should not have come away - perhaps this is a design flaw?It is a good price compared to others but I am annoyed that I have to buy another one just over 6 months later.
