REMEMBER TO REPLACE THE BATTERY... or it will cost you.
I have had several of these, but when I lost my keys it didn't work, MY FAULT ..... I had not remembered to change the battery. The replacement key was about $250.00 on my Cadillac CT-6 Wow. So I set up a reminder on my Cell Phone Callendar actually to replace the batteries on all of The Cube devices every 6 months, they claim 12 months for replacement but not going to chance it again. They work well, the new unit the Pro Series is much louder than the original unit Cube, I have updated all my devices now to the Pro series.

Cube works!
I can't rate the battery life yet as I just received this as a gift from my husband. We are in the process of a move and I lost one set of keys already. This past week, I "lost" another set (they ended up in the garbage and I was able to retrieve them). After losing the second set, he opted to buy me the Cube. We tested it today. The app install was super easy. Setting up the device was cake. I gave my keys to my 6yo and told her to hide them anywhere she wanted without telling me. She did. We found them a few minutes later. Keep in mind, you have to give the Cube alot of permissions (that I wouldn't normally) and if the keys are WAY out of range, you phone app may not find them. I like the Cube and will recommend it further.

Ok but definitely not worth the money
I bought 3 of these, and have been patient for about a year now. I have constant connection issues. The tracker on my cats harnesses won't connect even when I'm right next to them. The one on my keys randomly disconnects when I'm anywhere away from my house while my phone in in my pocket. I regret ever trying this thing out. I wouldn't recommend getting it, it's already to late for me to get a refund on this thing so don't throw your money away. Oh yes one more thing, it's accuracy sucks, it keeps saying my cats and keys are a block away from my house even when they are with me.

NOT WATERPROOF!! Not Good For Tracking Pets!!
Last month we sold our house and moved into a motor home while we build our new one. Within 3 days of moving our elderly cat got out and was lost for 3 days. He needs medicine and we were very worried for his survival. Luckily we found him however it became very important to find something that if he got out again that could assist us in finding him easier and quicker.I search Amazon. I found the Cube Pro. I read the reviews saying it wasn't waterproof as advertised but I though SURELY if that were true Amazon would make them change their ads. I even went to Youtube-did some research and again-it showed it was waterproof. Videos showed them dunking it in a glass of water and it still working. And I am sure it did IN THAT MOMENT--but I can assure you if the video people updated you in say a week they would have to admit that the speaker holes along with the snap on lid (NO screw to create barrier!) allow water to seep in and then cause the alarms to go crazy and the tracker to not be found.BUT--again. I trusted Amazon to make sure the seller represented truth so I ordered 3-one for each pet. Set up was easy and I installed app on my phone to track the critters. Got in bed the first night and was awoken terrified to my phone playing loud bursts of my ringtone and flashing my camera lights repeatedly! Could not figure out what was doing it-the app was not showing it was one of the trackers! Ended up the first night powering off my phone. Next day I went through more of the app settings and realized on of our cats was not showing. OK--I determined the crazy lights and sounds in the night was an alarm telling me the tracker had gotten out of range (although kitty was sitting beside me!). So I opened up the tracker and found the inside corroded and rusty! Brand new less then 24 hours old. Again-trusting this was a fluke-I did an Amazon exchange. AND set the alarms to not go off during quiet time to terrify us in the night again!Over the next 2 weeks the trackers SEEMED to be working well. They were draining my phone battery like crazy though! I would need to charge my phone 3x a day to keep a charge but decided it was worth the hassle to keep my pets safe. Then one day I realize that 2 of my trackers are offline. No notice, no alarm. Just not registering on the app. One of the three trackers randomly would make alarm sounds and terrify the dog-but not respond to pushing the button or using find tracker on app. After playing around with settings in the app I decide to check the battery.Opening up both the cats trackers I discovered them full of water, batteries corroded, and rusty! The dog's wasn't as full of water as hers is worn on her harness so it was on subjected to the rain water while the cat's was worn on their collars meaning every time they took a drink, they were dipping the tracker in water. This allows the rather large speaker holes to let water into the tracker.I am returning all three trackers. They are NOT waterproof as heavily advertised within the ad and in youtube videos. At best they'd be water resistant but until they eliminate the speaker holes and make it seal with a screw instead of it snapping together, it will not keep enough water out to serve regular exposure that a pet will subject it.I am very disappointed in Amazon and myself. I trusted that if there was an issue with the waterproof aspect of the product that Amazon would make sure the product was correctly represented and the description updated. I am disappointed in myself---I ALWAYS read reviews and use them to decide upon my purchase. I deviated from that as I WANTED these to work for my pets. I was afraid after losing our cat for three days and I WANTED something to keep them safe and help me recover them if it ever happened again. I bought them with the emotional hope that the reviewers were wrong and I should have known better! If you are looking to use these to find your phone, keys, or something tangible that won't dunk it in water regularly-they work great (except they will drain your battery on your phone!). UNLESS you lose them in a wet area LOL!If you want to use these to track your pets-the only way they are going to work for any length of time is the attach them to a harness so when your pet drinks it isn't dunked into water. HOWEVER--know this-our dog's was ALWAYS on her back on her harness and was only exposed to light rain 1x during a potty break and STILL had a little water inside it. I am not really sure how much longer it would have worked before the delicate inner parts would have corroded. We decided that it wasn't worth taking the chance of it malfunctioning and losing our pet to see if it kept working. In total we had 4 trackers-all 4 had moisture and water in them with minimal every day use from our pets. With some updating of the product (removing speaker holes and adding seal that is secured with a tiny screw) they may become more appropriate for pets but not with its current design.Save yourself the hassle of returning them and find a different solution if you want them to track your pets.

Terrible Instructions, no phone support, but when it works it is great. Works about half the time.
It's just amazing to me that anyone would spend the thousands of dollars that must have gone into product design and development, packaging, advertising graphics, marketing, etc. AND NOT HAVE PAID A DECENT TECHNICAL WRITER A FEW BUCKS TO WRITE INSTRUCTIONS THAT WORK! The instructions are a joke. A joke translated into many languages, presumably equally unhelpful in all of them. They are vague. They leave out important information. And they are wrong. I finally emailed the seller and they told me enough to get it working. Totally different from the written instructions, of course. Update: These work about half the time. The other times when you need to find the keys or the phone, they don't. Bluetooth is just not that reliable. When you finally find the thing by conventional means, you find bluetooth needs to be restarted, or the Cube battery needs to be replaced, or some other glitch. I have 3 of them. Right now, one will not work no matter what I do. The instructions of course are no help. So, I have to email tech support and wait. I think these are the best out there, but the best in this class of things is just not very good. Pity! The customer support from the seller is really fast. So you can get quick answers by email. And if you don't understand the first answer or it doesn't work, the response to a follow-up question is even faster. So, you can get there from here. The product works well as a keyfinder. Other keyfinders had too-short battery life, so when you lose your keys you also find your battery has gone dead and those finders are not help. This one seems to have good battery life and a battery status indicator within the app, so you get some warning that the battery is running low (if you look at it). A spare battery is included (under the packing material in the little box, so don't throw away the box until you find it). It's range is very limited, so you have to look at the map to see where it was when last in range, and then walk around in that area pushing the button until the beeping starts.Like all of these gadgets, the pitch of the beeper is above the hearing range of an old person with typical high-frequency age-related hearing loss. So, first step when you lose your keys is to put your hearing aids in. Even without the auditory signal, just walking around and watching for when the bluetooth connection is made will tell you visually when you are near the lost keys.It would be useless for finding a pet, unless maybe the pet is a turtle.Working it in reverse, using the finder to make the phone ring and flash to find the phone, is very handy and I use it oftener that way than in the reverse. My second complaint is the app. It has a "Pairing Tutuorial." I clicked it, expecting to learn about pairing. It was not about pairing. So I clicked the "+" to add a cube. The "+" is not clickable. It does nothing. So, how does this happen? They forgot to think about people because they were so busy making the nice box and all the pretty advertising graphics? Just mind-boggling. In the end, every product is about people. Instructions and the user interface are not just a minor detal. They are paramount.
