Good for making adjustable supports for gardens
So far so good, I used a few of these to make a rope support for some squash plants. They're doing what they're meant to do and none have rusted or corroded after a few weeks outdoors. I like using these rather than tying nots in the garden, because these make it easier to adjust tension as plants grow. One thing though is a little sketchy: I would hesitate to use these in a real load-bearing application, as some of the stamped flat plates have rough edges that could abrade rope or wire clamped inside. Also I got a box with a mismatched number of pieces, which wasn't a big deal as I only needed a few, but if you were counting on using all of them that would matter.

Worked fine for me
I used these with steel cable to tie down a sun shade/sun sail. Getting adjustability while keeping things locked like I need them is great (loosen to adjust of course). The build quality and durability are good. Most of my uses are outdoor in heavy sun and eventually rain so not rusting is important. One quick note, you don't actually have to put a whole figure eight of cable in there and crossing over takes up more space. I suppose it really depends how much pull you're putting on the system but I'm not mountain climbing with my 1/8" cable so one loop and not causing increased thickness works great for me.

Too tight a fit for 1/8"
These are well made, but the 1/8" cable I have won't fit without a lot of difficulty. This isn't how they should work. THe super tiny lock washers are a ridiculous addition. Why not just use a lock nut?

Hold Tight➖Not Difficult To Use➖Look Like They Are Durable
This arrived from the vendor in a branded tape sealed nice hard plastic reusable case. They included a little envelop of lock washers & a small wrench to tighten the nuts of the clamps. We are going to work on replacing some old catchment water tank cover tie downs currently held with small strips of electrical wires. They work, but they also do age & fade & can rust. We are thinking one of these to clamp wire tie downs that share a lug might work. We’ll be using metal wire instead of electrical wire & turnbuckles as well. We needed something that is not going to rust. An outside catchment tank is an expensive & time consuming item to replace. Updating the cover tie downs to prevent the rust can be a good & economical maintenance move (letting the big tank stay in operation for many more years). These duplex clips look like they can be helpful in the instances where we need to combine one tie down source lug into two upper tie down uses (we have two covers to cut down on algae). They also look like they should hold up from the elements & not contribute to rust. I did test on a two small sections of our replacement wire, simulating a real install situation. They held great & were not overly difficult to install & clamp tightly together. I’d order more of these if we end up with more than 20 joints I need to combine (we’ll see).

Holds cables tight and made of stainless to last for years.
I have some 3x5' flags to hang from cables, and these are the perfect solution for strength and reuseability. You get (20) full pieces in a convenient little storage box. They are hourglass style with studs, pressure plates, lock washers. and hex nuts. These are intended for 1/8" cable, and I found they work great with cable as small as 1/16". The main body is very rigid. I was able to grasp it tightly with a small pair of pliers while torquing and it didn't deform. The studs stayed solid and didn't rotate while tightening. Of course the hardware is small, and thankfully these were designed with enough room to seat a 7mm socket on the nuts during install. I use a figure 8 pattern on the cable, and the pressure plates bond them tight. Once finished I was able to get a 36' cable guitar string tight with the turbuckle I attached my cable to. Nuts and studs mean it can be taken apart and used again and again. I'm really impressed with how sturdy and strong these are. So much better than sleeve crimps. 5 stars!

Handy homestead necessity.
Unfortunately, I should've ordered a size up for repairing thicker dog tie-out cables. However, I also needed some to put up a clothesline with some smaller diameter cable I have. I believe these will fit perfect. (now I just have to find the cable I stored somewhere lol). The screws are built into the top section, and it did come with some perfectly fitted locking washers. The gasket is a bit thin, but thinking it will hold up. I was ready to give this a real world try, when I realized my dog cables are well over 3 mm. It might help if they updated the listing to "3MM" instead of "3M" for those of us that aren't as tool savvy I looked at the picture and thought it would fit. Not bad price for a 20 piece, pre-assembled set, (minus the washers, they are in a separate zip seal bag); stored in a small plastic box to keep them organized. Also comes with a tiny wrench. Convenient if you are out on a project, grabbed these, but forgot your tools.

The best steel wire fasteners
Good quality. They work better than the crimp type clips. They also keep the wire insulation in place, and don't cause it to rip off as the crimp clips do sometimes. You may need a socket wrench. The provided wrench works but it's not easy to tighten the nuts properly.
