Last-s forever! Lol.
Stylast has reduced stylus wear on 4 or 5 stylus' over my experience with it 40+ years. I have never heard of any side effects nor audible noise because of use. I just use it every side after a quick dry, tiny sable hair brush to brush off debris first and then a 2 swipe of the stylus with Stylast. Many years ago I just used the Stylast alone without dusting, and bottle had some floating dust. No big whup. I feel regular liquid stylus cleaners are great (Last 4 or Lyra SPT) with an electronic brush or normal finger-held bristle brush, but only once every few days or a week. The dry paint brush does work wonders, is easy, and soft. Acrylic brushes work fine too. 8 or 10 round artist brush. Cut the stem of the handle off and sheesh... best stylus cleaner evah!

Great product.
I've recently been enjoying collecting and listening a lot of vinyl and know how important it is to take care of the equipment that I play it on. I have 3 classic Technics turntables with nice cartridges and new needles which sound amazing through my Sennheiser headphones. I make sure I thoroughly clean the used vinyl I purchase before playing it and usually give it the "wood glue treatment" before the initial listen. An anti static brush gets run over each side before bringing the needle into the grooves to make sure I'm doing all I can to get as clean a sound as possible; however, it wasn't until I used the LAST stylus treatment that I realised I was missing a crucial step. Just cleaning off the needle with a brush obviously wasn't enough, because the difference in sound once I used the LAST treatment was incredible. I used LAST Record Preserve many many years ago when I first started collecting vinyl, but when I began collecting cds the vinyl took a backseat for many years. Now that I'm back into vinyl, I'm thrill that LAST is still making some of the best products on the market to help preserve my collection and make listing to it that much more enjoyable. If you listen to records and want great sound, this product is a MUST HAVE. I now use it before every record I play.

Worse than useless
This product not only doesn’t add any benefit to your LP enjoyment, it fowls your stylus tip.I purchased this stuff from Amazon when I bought a brand new turntable and cartridge about 3 months ago. I began using it exactly as the directions read. Two weeks ago I heard terrible distortion when I played the first album I had put on in about two weeks. I removed the headshell to examine the stylus with a 40x magnifier I have. I couldn’t even tell what I was looking at when I first focused my view on the stylus tip. Instead of a conical looking tip it looked like a miniature ice skating blade. There was crap built up before and trailing the tip so that it did resemble an ice skate blade. The build-up resembled a resin or like amber (the stuff prehistoric bugs get caught in). Weird. That’s not even the worst part. It took me over an hour of scrubbing as carefully as I could to get this hardened junk off the tip. I had to use a Q-tip soaked in 99% Isopropyl alcohol to slowly wear down the glazed amber looking build-up. It did eventually come clean. I’m amazed I didn’t damage the stylus tip. This build-up effect stopped when I stopped using this product. There’s no other difference in my record playing routine except the absence of Stylast.I have a rigorous routine for cleaning albums. I use a wet DIY solution to pre-soak an LP, then 15 minutes in an ultrasonic bath, and then a dedicated record vacuum. It’s not dirt build-up from dirty albums. And if it were that the crap should still be building up on the stylus after discontinuing the Stylast. It’s not.The other giveaway that I found odd when using this Stylast product is that when I examined the record surface after playing it looked like there was an ultra fine sand looking residue on the record surface. I’m guessing this is the amber looking build-up on my stylus tip. This also went away when I quit using the Stylast. The final annoyance (that I just discovered when I tried to examine the bottle to recall the product name) is that all the label text and graphics has worn off from just normal usage in a couple of months. Not as big a deal as the stylus fowling, but still. Jeez. They can’t even get that right?I can’t guess why Stylast does this to my stylus and records. I’m not a chemist nor am I a product tester. I just know this stuff won’t be used on my records any more.
