The Sims 3 - Xbox 360

For the people who's been playing the sims since itcame out, the series has come a long way since it's birth. Each installment improve the quality of the game overall but the PC users got more of the cake than the consoles consumers. After the sims 2 came out on the xbox and playstation 2, i had high hopes for the series itself since it was a huge improvement from the original sims. Finally after years of waiting, we finally have The Sims 3 introduce to our next gen consoles. Was the years worth the wait? Find out with this brutally honest review of The Sims 3. In the original sims, you started at your mom's house where all you did was loafing around doing nothing while your sim mother was up and about doing her business. In the sims 2, you started off with roommates. Now in the sims 3, you don't have a mom around you nagging to fix the tv or get a job (sounding like somepeople life) or roommates right away. You have the option as always to make a family of your dreams. Where exactly? A place call Moonlight bay where dreams can either come true or utterly draw back on you. In the Sims 3, there is no story mode. It's more of a free mode. I'll explain it... If you want to create your very own family, you have the option to have your sims to a toddler to being an elder. The clothing is updated and you have the option to create your own style and upload to the EA server which has a sim store where other players upload sims, houses, styles, etc. You can customize your sim's face, pick his personality traits, a dream wish (have up to six kids, become a spy etc). You can have up to six people in a family. Note: if you want to start as a toddler, think of having a young adult in your family since you need someone to take care of the toddler. If you do a great job of raising the toddler, you will receive benefits (a extra trait for your sims personality). Do a bad job of raising your child and you will receive negative traits. Also if you are careless about your child, child services will come to your house and take the baby away (sounds like today somewhat). After your done making your family, you have the option to buy a house furnish or unfurnish. Depending on your income, you can choose to buy one of two houses they provide for you. When you first start off, it will be extremely difficult. Money will be an essential since you have to pay bills. You have the option to have a full-time job or a part-time job to your pleasure. A range of jobs include, police officer, journalism, medical, military, etc. When you first start off, you'll notice on the top right of the screen that you will see boxes that are call wishes. These wishes are your sim wishes that want to be fulfill. You can either accept them or deny them if you want. An example of a wish is your sim wishes to workout and completing that you will get 300 lifetime points which are points that you can buy to have your sim have the option to slack during work and still get paid, fast cleaner, etc. The more wishes you complete, the more lifetime points you get and to unlock hidden items. The old school sim controls are back. They took out the sims 2 movement where you don't have the large yellow or green light as your cursor. The green light is back. A minor drawback since the controls for sims 2 were great. I was disappointed that they didn't have the option to have the controls for the sims 2 in the game. Now for the karma powers, they are new to the game. You have your good karma and your bad karma. Some of the good karma includes, being smart for a couple of hours and learning skills easily, take out all negative moddlets, being lucky for a couple of hours etc. The more you use them, the more chances you have to have a negative karma happening. Think of it as balancing the game. The bad karma includes firestorm (where fire shoots down from the sky causing your house to burn down), epic fail (where your sim or sims in the town will have bad luck for awhile). Overall Pros - Can have multiple levels in your house - The new wish system keeps the game intertaining - Numerous ways of creating your sim - Clothing options has expanded - Have the option to move out of your house - New challenges that will keep you busy. - The Store Cons - Loading screen takes forever - No two players - No online mode Overall, this is a solid game for the xbox 360. Try it out and see it for yourself!

It's been a while since I've been this addicted to a video game. I played the first Sims and I loved it very much though I felt there were definite limitations to the console version. Fast forward to the Sims 3, and it's definitely a much more fluid and fun experience than the first game that I played way back in the day. As someone mentioned here, it's fun to play God. It's even more fun when I have the chance to create real life friends in the virtual world (they even look and act eerily like the real people I know) and see what kind of crazy awkward situations you can put them in (or watch them flourish in specific job situations and/or hobbies/talents). This game is like a black hole that sucks away any sense of time you may have in the real world. On the first day, I sat through 11 straight hours without even batting an eyelash (other than to grab a quick bite or two and use the restroom). That's how addictive this game is. It's incredible that you can have so much control over everyone's lives, as well as how you make friends, interact with NPCs, and learn skills that really define who your Sims are over the course of their lifetimes. I also like how there is so much attention to detail in terms of how you can design and build the home of your dreams. You can landscape, paint, wallpaper, roof to your heart's content, and buy all sorts of cool stuff to put in the house. I have heard about the glitch involving people who have game freezes due to possibly too many objects in their inventory or game (I have yet to encounter this problem, fingers crossed) - however, I'm just being very careful about how I manage my stuff in game and am hoping that the problem doesn't affect me. The game controls fabulously. There is definitely a bit of a learning curve at first when you pick up the game. But once you figure it out thanks to some helpful tutorials, it will all make sense and feel like second nature to you. I do notice that there is a slight lag when it comes to load screens in game (and there are a lot of them) but for the most part it didn't distract me that much. I was too busy in my little sandbox, watching my Sims move up in life (and watching my kid grow up). Throw in some intrigue (such as one of my housemates bringing her lesbian lover home for some "woo hoo"), a little karma here and there (which is one great addition to the game - it really makes it fun when you can use 'powers' to create dramatic situations) and you have the recipe for an amazing game that will suck the very life out of you. My challenge now is to not ditch my real life friends because their Sim counterparts are just that much more interesting lol!

Honestly, this game is great. The only thing I didn't like is that you can't have any pets. I'm addicted to this game. It's fun, entertaining, and there is so much to do. I think having the cars is a great feature. Before I purchased this for Xbox 360 I purchased the game from Verizon on EnV Touch. It was pretty much the same, but of course way better. But, the videos made it seem a bit funner than it actually was. Having kids is fun, I have 2 on one game and 1 on the other. It's a great game, and I'm so glad I got it. I've always been a huge fan of the Sims Series, this is my favorite. Get it and have fun! :)

l'embalage était super abimé, la boite était tout cassée et on aurait dit qsu'ils avaient vidé un pot de confiture dessus. On a même cru que le jeu allait être inutilisable mais finalement on a réussi à sauver le cd :/

Arrived Early and in Brand new condition. Ive had issues buying older games before with conditions varying from medium to very poor, but I was surprised to recive an actual factory sealed game!

J'aime le jeux des sims mais je suis habituée au jeux sur pc donc il y a plusieurs chose que je trouve dommage comme de ne pas pouvoir modifier la ville ou installer des maison que je download dans ma ville. Ne pas pouvoir changer de ville non plus. Mais en gros c'est un jeux plaisant.
