I love them! You just have to know how to use them.
I saw a lot of reviews about this being flimsy, tearing easily, difficult to remove the punched out letters, etc.#1, it is card stock. It isn't a super heavy cardstock, but it isn't plain paper. I have quite a few sets with this same strength from different companies, so I am not sure why everyone was complaining. If one starts to fail I'll just take it out and shoot it with some clear coat paint to help stabilize it, or slap some tape on there and use and razor to remove the extra. I would not call these flimsy. Flimsy to me is a piece of computer printer paper. These don't flop over or anything.#2, I only had two out of the whole set tear when I was taking the punches out. Nothing a little tape, glue, etc didn't fix.#3, I use mine with a pencil. I don't use markers, I don't use a pen, I use a fine pencil to get great results. I can always trace over the lines with something else.#4, I am using these on wood, paper, art paper, etc. They work great on all of those.#5, they are paper. They are not water proof! No big deal, use a pencil to trace it out, then go back with a marker, paint, whatever.#6, it took less than an hour of patience and listening to my youngest play Minecraft to get all the letters, numbers, and designs punched out. It wasn't difficult, just gently push, twist, and pop them out. I also did not have a problem with very many chads left where they were punched out. Take a file over it gently once or twice and the problem is gone.#7, Unless you go at these things like the Hulk you will get plenty of use out of them. Again, I use a fine pencil and trace them out with that. If you are rough on them, yeah they are going to get torn up. So before you start, take a deep breathe, chill, and then begin.#8, I literally use these daily in my studio. They are going strong. I haven't even had to use the extra letters that were included. (Extras of letters that are most commonly used). I use them to write out names, phrases, quotes etc.#9, getting them aligned. Ok, this isn't that hard. First I lay them out, then I start tweaking. When I have them how I like I either start tracing them in, or I set them aside, pencil in some lines to keep them straight. It isn't that hard to keep them going in a straight line if you add a pencil line. Do it lightly and it won't be hard to erase, paint over, stain over, etc.#10, I have hit mine with a coat of clear coat paint. That makes them stronger. I hit one side, let it dry, flip them over, let it dry, repeat about three or four times. NO that doesn't make them waterproof. It does make them a bit stronger and they hold up longer. Just don't shoot your paint so thick they stick to the surface they are laying on. Go in gentle layers!

Great Stencil at a Great Price Thank you Martha!
I loved this stencil it was exactly what I was looking for. The reviews were not the best but I didn't agree with most of them. I did find that you have to be very careful punching out the letters. I used an razor blade knife that helped. You just have to take your time with them. I used them for basic stenciling on chairs and walls. They are reusable and not as flimsily as people said. They are a heavy cardboard. I wiped them off with a slightly damp paper towel and they are good to go for the next time. Great price and a pretty stencil. I am very happy. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because punching them out took some patience...but well worth it.

too easy to tear
I did not like that the product is made of perforated cardboard. Some of the stencils have small intricate curves that have to be punched out and it was easy to rip or bend. It was a bit pricey for the quality. If you try to use the with dry brush paint they are ruined after one use.

... pain it was to have to individually and very tediously remove the outside sections of each letter
what a pain it was to have to individually and very tediously remove the outside sections of each letter. Very tedious and time consuming and you have to be very careful not to rip out any small sections to or else the letter is ruined. Surprised that the brand manufacturer would not realize this problem/ As far as the letters they are just what I needed. It doesn't matter to me that they letters are very flimsy because I understand that this is a delicate project that I am working on and have to be careful anyways.

Cute Stencils
These stencils seem great. I haven't used them yet.Sort of seems like it wouldn't last too long if heavy paint is used. But I'm super excited to use them to make all sorts of cute signs!

Not meant for multiple uses
I liked the script of the letters but they were too thin and paper not plastic. The paper is not thick and I tore 3 of them right of the bat. They did not come ready to use as you have to push the extra cardboard/paper through to make the letters and it is very difficult to do without tearing. Buy plastic stencils that you can reuse.

Pretty, but need to be used delicately
Really pretty; makes a great stencil set for art projects. I used these with chalk markers on a chalkboard craft project, and have received many compliments.Only complaint is that, even with very delicate use, some of the stencils' inner segments are flimsy enough that they break off. I've been VERY careful, and as a result, it's only happened on 1 or 2 of the cards. Beware!

Not quite what I expected
I considered sending these back, but I'll find a use for them. The stencils are a little flimsy, which didn't bother me too much because they were an inexpensive add-on item. I was disappointed with the size. The size listed was: 3.5 x 4 inches, with the package size listed as: 4.8 x 1.2 x 6.5 inches. This made me believe that the letters were actually larger than they are. The upper-case letters are less than 2 inches high, which won't work for my project.

PLANTILLAS LETRAS

Disappointed
The stencil design and font are perfect for current project. They were delivered quickly via prime. But have rated one star as the stencils are made from card. For the price I had an anticipated they would have been a durable, lightweight and flexible plastic. Transparent would be an innovation too to enable positioning in conjunction with overall design.Very disappointed in cost considering I received card and had to pop out the inner part which was not already removed. This also diminishes the products effectiveness as there tended to be bumps where the inner card was attached to outer part, for a stencil its poor to say the least. Also because card was flimsy it tore couple of the stencils whilst trying to remove inner part.Strongly feel the price should have reflected this.Strongly feel the manufacturer/seller should state in product description the material (card) the product is made from.

Ok as long as you are working on a flat ...
Ok as long as you are working on a flat surface and not, say, a bottle. Not sure they will last that long. Going back to vinyl ones.
