I HAVEN'T PLAYED THE FLUTE IN ALMOST 10 YEARS SO I IMAGINED I WOULD BE ALITTLE RUSTY IF I DECIDED TO START PLAYING AGAIN. THEN SUDDENLY THE URGE HIT ME LIKE A WRECKING BALL! i WENT ON A SEARCH TO FIND MY FLUTE! AT LAST I HAD FOUND MY MUSICAL INSTRUMENT! I LOST THIS BOOK WHEN I WAS IN MIDDLE SCHOOL AND DECIDED TO SEARCH ON AMAZON FOR IT AND LO AND BEHOLD! I FOUND IT. AND I COULDN'T CLICK THE PURCHASE BUTTON FAST ENOUGH! I RECEIVED MY VERY MUCH ANTICIPATED BOOK SO FAST THAT I WAS LEFT IN AWE! I RIPPED THE BOX OPEN AND STARTED PLAYING IMMEDIATELY! WATCH OUT GUYS CUS NEXT TIME YOU SEE ME ILL BE PLAYING ALONG THE TRANS SIBERIAN ORCHESTRA AND ALL OVER THE WORLD THANKS TO THIS BOOK!

I am a returning student after 30 years. This is great to relearn everything I forgot. It has the finger placement diagrams on the top so I can easily see how to play each note.

Great band beginner book. Easy to learn even by yourself. Songs are in a scale that sounds great. Had other versions of the book but this one is the best.

I don't normally give 5-star reviews, but this book has been amazing for my daughter. She's spent the summer working her way through the book and the little step-by-step instructions and explanations of music terminology have been amazing for her. Can't wait to hear her with the advanced band in her 6th grade class!

Looks like a great beginner book after you already know how to play the notes. Unfortunately I need to start from the very beginning and need to know what keys make what notes. Would anyone have any book recommendations for this?

Great book. I had this method as a 7th grader. I bought this for my 7th grader and she loves it.

Basic tunes though many of them appear in a lot of other publications. . Easy to follow. Somehow the quality of the reproductions lacks clarity.
