Product description Find the Suitable Handle for You 1/4"-20 Screw Side Handle NATO Side Handle NATO Wooden Side Handle Screws Wooden Side Handle NATO Rotating Side Handle Rotating Left Side Handle Review: Awesome - Awesome products, just what I wanted Review: Well made and very robust handles. - I wanted to shoot some video on my ancient CANON 5D MKII and as the shoot was going to be out in some rough mountainous area I wanted some added protection for my camera so I managed to track down a cage that fit. The shoot was primarily going to be handheld so when I saw this Smallrig kit with top and side handles, I jumped at the chance to try it out. I have to say that the construction and quality of the handles and parts was excellent. The top handle in particular was robust and fit my hand very well, it felt really comfortable. The side handle was a little less comfortable, I found it to be a bit bulky, even for my large hand. Attaching the handles to my cage was an education in itself, I learned about NATO rails, ARRI mounts and locating pins. I also learned that my old camera cage, while having masses of 1/4” and 3/8” threaded holes. It gig not have a 3/8” hole with ARRI locating holes on either side to accept the two tiny pins on either side of the handle’s screw, there was just no way to mount it to the frame of the cage. I expect that more modern cages come with the required locating pin holes, Fortunately, mounting the side handle was very straightforward. I just screwed the short NATO rails into two 1/4” holes on the side of the cage, slid the handle stem onto the rail, lined up the handle with the two silver holes in the stem and screwed on the handle. The whole thing took just a couple of minutes. The side connection with the short NATO rails into two got me thinking; what if I could find another rail that I could screw to the top of the cage, one that had a 3/8’ screw hole, with locating holes on either side. I was helped by the wonderful customer service folks at Smallrig, who led me to just attach another short NATO rail to the top of my cage and swap the ARRI handle for an almost identical one with a NATo no lamp connector. It worked a treat. The top handle and side handle were very secure and provided much greater stability for shooting video. It made a world of difference to my shooting and made carrying the camera in my hand much easier . I really appreciated that even though my old camera and cage were not built for the ARRI mount on the top handle, Smallrig were certainly helpful in getting me to a solution. I would make sure that your cage has a 3/8” screw hole with two smaller holes either side of it, if you want to be able to attach the top handle, otherwise you Wii probably need an alternate handle.

EXCEPTIONAL BARGAIN FOR A STURDY AND ERGONOMIC HANDLE KIT
LIGHTWEIGHT RIGGING COMPONENTS THAT DONT SACRIFICE STRENGTH OR COMFORT This handle kit offers an exceptional balance of weight and ergonomics for my daily camera setup. 📸 I have been using these for several days on a handheld rig and the comfort is immediately apparent. The materials feel high quality and provide a secure grip without adding unnecessary bulk to the system. The side handle which allows for 30mm of adjustment is particularly intelligent for various hand sizes. This is a setup that i can easily spend hours with. 📸 Also the top handle provides plenty of mounting points for monitors or microphones without feeling flimsy. The build is sturdy enough to support a fully loaded cage while remaining light. This is a reliable video/photo rig that i can depend on. THE VERDICT This kit is an excellent bargain for any shooter looking for professional feel without the high cost of larger brands. 'As an exclusive contributor to a prominent stock media agency with 25 years of experience in freelance photography and videography, I offer informed and professional opinions of camera and video equipment.' I will update this review if anything changes within 1 year. ★★★★★ (5 Stars): A 5 star rating indicates the product meets my expectations for its purpose.

Great Top Handle
I've been using these for a few weeks now and I really like the top handle. The side grip is fine, however I have other smallrig side handles and honestly, this one feels very plastic and not extremely comfortable. The top handle feels good, and has a good weight since its made of aluminum. The grip is rubberized. It does have 1/4-20 holes along the top, and sides, as well as 4 cold shoes and 3/8-16 with Arri locking pin holes The top handle doesn't have any adjustability, however, the side handle does have the ability to not only slide up and down on the provided NATO rail, but it also has two bolts that attaches the grip, and if you loosen those bolts you get some vertical adjustability. Overall I am very pleased with the kit, and if I didn't already have other side handles, I think this would be well worth it.

Small rig cage perfect for my FX3!
This smallrig device fits multiple things. It's solid and very easy to use. It's super functional and works well with my osmo pocket 3. The handle fits nicely on my Sony FX3 as well! The material is a really nice metal. It also keeps my camera nice and stable too! This device really comes in handy!

Affordable, quality made kit with two comfortable handles.
I have multiples sets of top and side handles and Smallrig has always delivered. This combo kit comes with an ARRI style top handle and a NATO rail side handle. The side handle can have it’s arm flipped to either side of the handle or you can just spin the handle since they added similar indents to make it comfortable either way. Pros: • The top-handle is especially comfortable and secure to hold. I have some NATO rail top-handles and prefer to mount this one instead. • If an Allen wrench is used to apply a little extra force, the top handle is much more secure than the thumb screw competitors. • Many mounting points on both handles. • Comes with a NATO adapter for cages missing a side rail. • Metal materials and well made. • Side handles can be used on either side of the cage without removing and flipping the arm. Cons: None
