super smooth action
Ultra quick release, super smooth action. Works perfectly with my Glock 19 as advertised. This is a wonderful competition holster if you need to draw fast, yet still need your weapon to be secure. That said, I would not carry this holster for duty, or open carry. A lot of people won't admit that someone could potentially take their weapon from them. I am not one of those. I know stuff can happen, even to the those of us with years and years of training and strong situational awareness. For duty, I feel this is too easy to draw. I'd say, get something with a snap strap, or loop release. Something you're definitely going to to feel if someone does try to disarm you. You can remove your weapon from this holster in the blink of an eye, with very little pressure on the button, and no resistance from the holster itself. The button must be fully depressed for the weapon to release, but it doesn't take a lot of pressure to do that. In a tense situation, you might not feel it if someone were trying to be sneaky, and that's just not secure enough imho. But again, this thing is just about perfect if you want it for competition shooting. It also can be removed from the hip paddle, and attached to a blackhawk shoulder harness system, if you were to wear this under your arm, and under a coat for concealment, it *might* work out for duty. I don't think that would be very comfortable, or concealed very well in that case however. Hope this helps.

First class action pistol holster
Got this and tried it out with a glock 19. It has a very positive feel and snaps decisively when the gun is locked. It has a spring to keep it tensioned against the trigger lock. After several draws, I could see a little bit of finish scratching. I could see how repeated use could scuff up the surface. I suspect if keeping your gun in like new finish is important, this is not your holster. I wanted to know that there was no way for the trigger to get depressed on insertion. I pushed the gun in slowly until it clicked, then kept going until it stopped. It has very little play in it after it locks. This combined with the fact that it intrudes into the trigger space a minimum distance to lock the gun, I am satisfied there is no way to have the trigger caught and depressed on holstering the weapon. I like the fact that it positive locks the gun in the holster. I don't have to worry about it falling out for any reason. Its not a concealed carry holster. I will use it for action pistol training. The draw with this holster needs to be practiced extensively with an unloaded gun. You have to draw flat fingered, depressing the latch, and end up with your finger on the side of the gun. Its very clear that any instinct to curl your finger has to be suppressed. No finger curl, no accidental discharge.

Great holster!
this is a great holster, i ordered it for my glock 19 gen 4 my gun fits perfectly and clicks into place with no sign of it falling out, the holster goes on easily and i must say it looks really bad ass! it says its a concealed carry holster, im not sure you could really hide it since it sticks out slightly, i dont care though cause i only use it on my property so i dont try to hide it. its a great holster for the range or if you had a long shirt or jacket i suppose you could conceal it.

Comfortable but with quirks worth noting
Comfortable but with quirks worth noting This holster has some solid positives right out of the gate. The fit for my Glock 19 is snug and secure, and the retention mechanism works exactly as intended—there’s no wobble, and the pistol locks in with a reassuring click. The belt attachment is sturdy and holds position well without sagging or shifting during movement, which is important if you plan to wear it for extended periods. That said, there are trade-offs. The SERPA release button takes some practice, and I wouldn’t recommend this for beginners who haven’t spent time on the draw stroke. If you don’t get your finger placement just right, you’ll fumble the release. The holster itself is fairly bulky, so concealment isn’t its strong suit—this is more of an open carry or range-use option. I also noticed that while the grey finish looks sleek out of the box, it does show scuffs more quickly than darker colors. Bottom line: A reliable, durable holster that excels in retention and stability, but it requires practice to master and isn’t ideal for discreet carry.

Excellent holster
I don't think I've ever had a IWB or OWB holster mount I've liked. This one isn't an exception. So why do I now have three of these? The small footprint is a perfect option when carrying in a CC jacket or vest. And I really like the added safety of the 2-point protection. For open carry I have the Serpa 3-point holster. I've tried several different holsters. Ever since I tried Blackhawk, I've only purchased Blackhawk.

My favorite OWB outside the waistband holster
This has a paddle but can be swapped for a belt loop (buy separately). It is not expensive and offers great fit and retention. Unholstering feels natural and puts you trigger finger on a safe place on the slide. No marring on the slide after extensive use, but I try to be gentle anyways. I just use this as an OWB holster for the range, but I know its common in law enforcement too. The paddle has a nice little hook to make sure it can't be taken of you or come off when moving, but tighten your belt to be even safer. You can't really feel the paddle on you at all if you appendix carry (just behind your hip on the beginning of you glute). Can rack the slide without removing and can keep the slide locked back for safe range handling. Love it.

Blackhawk serpa CQC
Love this holster, had reservations about the color but the gun metal grey goes nicely with my glock. the paddle fits nice and secure no way it's coming off while drawing or running or anything. This holster has gotten some bad press because of people not drawing properly from it and accidentally discharging their firearm. I can say if you train/practice with this holster you'll be fine it promotes drawing with your trigger finger on the frame the people who have had accidents either didn't know how to draw properly or had very big hands you should naturally be able to depress the locking button with out having to bend your finger in the cases where people have AD their firearm they must have had their finger hooked to press the button, big no no drawing like that has the consequence of your finger slipping into the trigger guard and discharging your firearm. keep your finger straight and you're golden. all in all love the holster recommend.

Gets stuck
Unfortunately, this holster seems to get stuck with a replica Glock 19 co2 powered, nothing really has helped or loosened it, its almost impossible to unholster while on a belt. Sadly I have to spend more money. It gets slightly better when trying to stretch the holster but not by much.
