The Lyme Disease Solution by Ken Singleton
Hi, Very good Lyme book and good positive final chapter. It says some protocols and supplements and things to be careful for. Lyme people maybe Celiac so many Lyme books also include things about that mixed in. They may not get rid of Lyme until they deal with the Celiac first which may hurt the gut lining so nutrients don't absorb...then cells are not made right to work right and are low in oxygen and the immune system is low. This is what I do..short version for my Celiac: No gluten/dairy/soy/sugar/GMO...vitamins/good oils, LDN (helps to block hidden gluten), detoxing may help. 2000mg of fish oil, 5000IU of Vit D3, Mg citrate, zinc, Vit C, Vit E, evening primrose oil 2000mg, lecithin 2000mg, alpha lipoic acid, HCl and enyzmes with meals, dairy free probiotic (when stomach acid is low), Vit B12 methylcobalamin shot/spray/under the tongue kind/intrinsic factor kind, MTHF, rhodiola, coenzyme Q10, Nature's plus- Source of life multiple and more may help. Gluten is wheat/barley/rye..oats may act like gluten with avenin. GMO maybe corn/soy/canola oil and more. Olive oil maybe fake and be GMO corn oil. Any food in a box/bag/label...certified gluten free may have 20ppm of gluten and nuts not in the shell/meat basting/some spices/lotions/make up and more may have hidden gluten. Microscopic gluten may hurt. Alternative doctors/chiropractors and more may help with nutrition, but Asian style only food may help and no American food. Good water..not tap water...exercise...cooking by scratch..eating organic...sunlight... may help. Far Infrared Sauna may help Lyme and detoxing. EDTA/DMPS IV chelations or 600mg of cilantro or organic sulfur or Now brand- Detox support, Epsom salt/baking soda bath may help detox. Epsom salt has Mg and S in it, may help detox. A Chinese restaurant cooks special for me..blanched vegetables/rice/tea/extra mushrooms..no meat since the woks may have MSG/gluten in them from other meals. Tests may not work to diagnose Celiac. Cyrex labs may help. Alternative people may help. Palehacks on Facebook may help. Best wishes.

absolute MUST READ for Lyme sufferers
Thank goodness that Dr. Singleton wrote this book! I have suffered from Lyme disease for over 20 years. I went to Johns Hopkins and to Georgetown University Hospital Center. Despite a continually worsening condition, the physicians at both hospitals insisted that a 10 day dose of antibiotics was enough. They were so absolutely certain that they were right. My condition became quite severe, until the nerve damage was serious enough that I regularly needed a wheelchair, I had difficulty speaking, and my immune system had nearly ceased to function. But Hopkins and Georgetown wouldn't offer me any more help. Thank God, a friend told me about Dr. Singleton and this book. I read the book, and felt hope for the first time in years. I was a serious enough case that Dr. Singleton took me on as a patient (he pretty much only takes on the worst train wrecks, so I qualified). That was a few years ago. In that time, under his care and guidance, I have been effectively treated for chronic Lyme disease. I now go hiking regularly, swim nearly daily, and no longer feel the chronic fatigue that plagued me for so many years. I don't use a wheelchair any longer, and my speech patterns have completely returned to normal. My immune system is robust, so I no longer catch every bug that is going around. My life has completely turned around. This book is absolutely the best reference book on Lyme available. It is written in a warm, engaging manner, and is organized so that even a layperson can understand complex medical concepts and research easily. It is an invaluable reference book, and can be used to formulate appropriate questions for your own physician, to be sure that you are getting the best care available. I have purchased several of these books, and given them to friends who suffer from Lyme disease. I have even given the book to a physician friend, to assist him in properly treating the Lyme patients that he treats. In short, if you even think that you MIGHT have Lyme disease, this book is a must read. It could make the difference between a lifetime of suffering and an early death, or a life enjoyed to the fullest without disease.Considering the increasing cost of medical care these days, the small amount you'd pay for this book is negligible. But with its guidance, you can find a Lyme literate MD who won't waste your time and money with inadequate or inappropriate treatment. No-one should have to suffer like I did, for as long as I did. To your health . . .

This should be known as the TRUTH about Lyme (and evil insurance companies avoiding costly treatments)
Bless this doctor and all who ''buck'' the corrupt system to treat patients with the right treatments that actually treat the disease and get it done right (can take YEARS).. which explains why the CDC and insurance companies want to insist that Lyme needs only 14 days of Doxycline ($25) to fix it. The real treatments cost a lot more and can cost tens of thousands for difficult cases. Some studies (watch the documenatary on Youtube= "Under Our Skin" and you'll learn a LOT.) IT seems to reveal that Parkinson's, MS, ALS, and large majority of Alzheimer's patients have LYME. (don't forget Steven Hawking too.) Memory loss. arthritis, body aches, tired, weak, and many seemingly unrelated problems.

Lyme thoroughly explained.
I had Lyme for 15 years. I read so many books. And none of the Lyme books helped me sad to say. What helped me is listening to my body. That being said, my mom read this book cover to cover in one night and loved it. It explain me Lyme, symptoms, diet , really well. I guess because I was the sufferer I already knew a lot of the info in the book and just wanted a cure.

Good framework if you've got or suspect Lyme
This is clearly witten and gives a very good grounding in the various symptoms and therapies for Lyme disease. If you've just been diagnosed, or suspect you have Lyme and want to find out more, it is a great starting point. It explais various complications that can occur in long term lyme - thyroid deficiency or other problems, for example. The Lyme inflammation diet described in this book is very helpful and recommended by many doctors specialised in Lyme disease. The one thing to beware of is that antibiotic therapies, and indeed all treatments for lyme diease, are progressing and improving every year and some of the antibiotic protocols described in this book are now out of date. Of course that is only a small part of the book and does not devalue it as an aid for patient education.
