novelty...not useful/reliable
I wanted this so badly to be the perfect solution for me. Any cat owner knows that the first question you are asked at the vet when something is wrong with your kitty is "how much water have they been drinking." My father and my aunt are veterinarians so I've always known how important it is for animal to take in proper amounts of water, especially cats with kidney disease always looming. So I always have had multiple water sources on each floor of the house. I have bowls, and I have two different kinds of fountains. There are options for the cats. My problem is that I have 3 cats. It was 4 until recently due to kidney issues. So how do i know which cat is drinking and which are not? Its a problem. I really wanted this to work. But here is what I've witnessed1. the trackers are a bit big for a cat to wear. They need to be cut in half. I can get past this. The cat seems to always be fussing with it a bit.2. on the homepage of the app it shows the amount left in the tank, and the amount of water that left the tank. DO NOT THINK that its reading what a cat is drinking. It also tells the time that the water "left." BUT this is not any real useful information as its pops up with water leaving the tank when I know no one has used it. So I attribute this to evaporation. So in other words the main page is completely useless. One time it showed that 16 ml was consumed. But when i went to her profile it said she had taken in 5 ml. The machine had registered evaporation at the time of her drinking. I could live with that. I could just go to her page to see what she drank. But It showed one time however that she drank 55 ml which is highly unlikely. So I'm guessing that the time she drank that the machine also registered the evaporation....a lot of evaporation??? (there was no spillage and the other cats weren't using the dish.)3. the tracker batteries don't last long. A couple weeks.I did not take up the other water sources. I wanted to see if she actually preferred this dish. She does not. I'm sure if I pulled the other dishes that she would use it BUT would she drink less in general bc she doesn't like the fountain? Thus causing the problem I was trying to prevent?I was going to buy extra trackers for my other cats and buy another unit for the other floor if this trial had been successful. But I see no reason to. Bottom line:There is no way to say how much water the cat has actually consumed bc some totals were way too high for one "drinking session".Its cool to peak in every once in a while to see your pet if that's what lights your board. But do not rely on this for knowing the intake of water on your cat. At most you can see that they did actually visit the dish (if the batteries in the tracker haven't died without notice). If I can get around to returning this thing before the end date, I will.

Great water fountain!
I got this for my cat Niko to help track his water intake, as I was suspicious that he wasn't drinking as much water as he should. What's great about this fountain and the associated app is that it tracks exactly when and how much water Niko drinks every fountain visit. The app also tracks overall daily water consumption over a period of days so it is easy to see where trends are, such as less intake on days he gets wet food. Fountain water level is also shown in the app as a reminder on when to refill.Another added bonus is the iPuppyGo (a basic fitness tracker for pets) that comes with the fountain. The iPuppyGo is essentially a step tracker with a location chip that "talks" to the iPawbo - when Niko is within range of the fountain, the camera kicks on and records a short video feed of Niko's interaction with the fountain - lots of slurping! The tracker is also good for seeing how active Niko is during the day. Before I didn't quite believe that cats slept 20 hours of the day - but now I do! There is a built-in algorithm in the app that analyzes the how active Niko is over segments time to determine his "mood" level too.The design of the product is sleek, and I appreciate the water reservoir being fully enclosed within the body of the fountain. Niko's old fountain was half open, which allowed a lot of debris like stray hair or food to land into the water bowl. The elevated water spout/ drinking surface is also better as he does not need to bend his neck down to drink. And the fountain is very quiet!!This product is still fairly brand new, so there are still very minor hiccups with the app interface that I've found. While the fountain tracks all water intake fairly accurately, it is still a little spotty when tracking iPuppyGo interactions. When I first used the iPuppyGo and its associated app, I at first thought the device was not working, as the app would not show any data. It turns out that it was working, but I had to first be within range of Niko and the tracker (1-2 meters), and also manually reload the tracker data. Once I figured that out I've had no issues loading Niko's activity to the app. Unfortunately past data does not stay in the app, and has to be loaded every time. Hopefully this will be picked up in future firmware updates! All in all, this is a great pet product that is perfect for tracking the general well-being of your pet. The bio-metrics recorded can tell you if something is off with daily water intake or activity level, which I think would be helpful in catching potential health issues early. I'll definitely be keeping an eye out on future Pawbo products for Niko, especially if they additional interactive capabilities with iPuppyGo!

Fresh water for pets all the time
I was very excited to receive my Pawbo Spring Smart Pet Ultra-Silent Water Fountain today. Our cat is always sitting on the restroom counter and waiting for someone to open the faucet for him so he can have fresh water, so I thought this would be a good investment. We're not home all day and I want him to have fresh water to drink when he needs it. Upon opening it, I was very impressed with the design. I like how streamlined and clean it looks. The height also seems perfect for pets, so they don't need to lean too far down. The tracker/tag attaches easily on the collar, and I look forward to being able to see the recordings from the camera. Once we get to use it for a week or so, I will try and give an updated review.

This product is a total waste of 200.00$ DO NOT BUY IT
Ok So i am editing my previous review to say that the support has been helpful but honestly i have had just to many issues with this fountain for the money. been through 4 tags and now they are working. however every time i take the top off to add water and replace the top it doesn’t output any water. i don’t understand it either the lights are operating as though the fountain is working but it’s not. this has happened everytime i have to take the top off to add water... VERY FRUSTRATED and my cats are thirsty! Update, the day after I sent 49.00 for the petkit the fountain started magically pump water again. This product has been a disaster and even their support which started off good stopped responding. GREAT idea Horrible implementation.
