Question 1

It doesn't contain any so I empty the powder from a probiotic capsule, moisten this and roll it in the powder until coated and insert it afterwards. This product is a PREbiotic which is food for the PRObiotic. I have cured Yeast infection using the method that I just described.

Question 2

What is peg-20 and Peg-32?

Accepted Answer

PEG, which is the abbreviation of polyethylene glycol, is not a definitive chemical entity in itself, but rather a mixture of compounds, of polymers that have been bonded together. Polyethylene is the most common form of plastic, and when combined with glycol, it becomes a thick and sticky liquid. In cosmetics, PEGs function in three ways: as emollients (which help soften and lubricate the skin), as emulsifiers (which help water-based and oil-based ingredients mix properly), and as vehicles that help deliver other ingredients deeper into the skin.Studies conclude that it is harmless to humans: https://www.truthinaging.com/review/what-is-it-pegs

Question 3

So this contains probiotics not probiotics ?

Accepted Answer

This is a PREbiotic, which means it is FOOD for PRObiotics (ex. Lactobacillus). The actual ingredients that are food for the probiotics are the lactic acid and the fructooligiosaccharide (FOS).

A site called 'myvagina.com' is chock full of amazing science-backed information all in one place and written in easy to understand terms. It helped to clarify a lot for me. It is ran by professional naturopaths that specialize in vulvo-vaginal issues such as what 'VH Essentials Prebiotic Suppositories' is designed for (such as: BV/YI/odor prevention/elim/etc.)

What is also a cheap, effective PREbiotic is the "mother" (the stuff that makes the liquid cloudy when shaken or when unshaken it's the dark sediment at the bottom of bottle) in unfiltered apple cider vinegar.

Like Judy said, I also coat these PREbiotic suppositories with my PRObiotic powder from the capsule. I use 'Jarro-Dophilus Women' 5 billion shelf stable. I utilize the aluminum blister pack 'well' that the capsule is taken out of as the 'boat for my dipping of the emptied VH Essentials prebiotic to actually enable me to coat it... It Just makes that process a bit easier.

Question 4

What is the expiration date for your product?

Accepted Answer

I contacted the company. There is a number on the end of the box that might look like "31413". The last two of these numbers are internal coding and can be ignored. The first two are the month and year of manufacturing. So these were made in 3/14 and according to the company they are good for two years from that date so in this example the product would be good until 3/16.
