Definitely not dishwasher safe.
So, first off, I love these lunch boxes. I got rid of our Bentgo boxes after some quality issues and purchased a 4 pack of the larger Kinsho kids and a 2 pack of the small ones in addition to the 2 large and 2 small I already had, they're the only ones I use now. Things I love:- Good portion sizes- Lots of sections for variety- Main section is large enough for a sandwich cut in half- Easy for my kids to open and close- Easy to handwash and keep clean- Lightweight- Not a lot of partsThings I don't love:- Not dishwasher safe- The lid will warp if it goes through the dishwasher (see picture). The boxes are a lot harder to close if the lids are warped, although they are still leak proof.Overall, I highly recommend these.

Great for Dieting/Portion Control
I bought this because I was tired of carrying 2-4 individual containers for the various items in my lunch, as I recently took up a healthier eating plan and wanted to have wider variety of food when at work. The compartments are pretty well sized in my opinion, 1/2 cup small ones and the 1 1/2 main providing plenty of options. My typical lunch consists of blueberries, carrots, and tomatoes in three of the small compartments, with either a portion of the previous nights leftovers or two small turkey wraps in the main compartment, and the fourth 1/2 cup rotating between things like crackers, almonds, a hard boiled egg, etc. I've never put something like soup in this, but I feel confident that it wouldn't leak if you make sure the cover is on (which you basically need to do in order to latch it closed). I used to use a small compartment for cottage cheese, and never had any leaking between the compartments or into my work bag. I can't speak to microwaving, as I haven't heated anything in mine yet, usually just keep cold items or don't care enough to heat the leftovers, but the only issue I see is that you need to eat/remove anything you don't want microwaved first, which is fairly inconvenient. I noticed when reading reviews that many feel the lid is too tight and difficult to remove, especially for children. While it certainly is a tight fit, generally I have no issue getting it off, my only suggestion is to always start on the corner of the large compartment, and grip the latches as you pull up at that corner, as most of the suction can be mitigated that way. I feel like a few practice opens with a kid and they should have a good grasp (HA!) of it Last thing, the little fork and spoon. Didn't think this was a super necessary feature and figured they'd suck, but in reality they're great. Decently sturdy fork prongs, spoon is great (though for soup/thin liquid, perhaps not) I use them all the time, and to fit them back in their slot, I put the fork first, spoon second, facing the same direction, spoon bowl(?) under the fork prongs, but the handle resting on top of the fork handle.

Great boxes, not so great bags.
We like the bento box. There are different shapes and sizes, so be sure to look at that when purchasing. I thought I bought the same for all three kids and out one was one section less, but the same size. They haven’t leaked outside or between compartments. We hand wash lids and throw the base in the dishwasher. As anyone who’s used leakproof bentos will confirm, they are all harder to open and these are no exception. We really like these and they do a great job. I’ll buy more of them. Now the lunch bags are great if you’re not hoping to include anything else in the bag, like a drink or chips, etc. the bag is VERY fitted to the bento box. I was able to throw in a drink pouch and their cooler packs. And the bag was very tight. Also things like thermos don’t fit in these bags (without the bento box obviously). So they are really only good when I used our various bento boxes. So if you want dual purpose lunchboxes I’d find one that is a bit deeper. They seem like decent quality, but my kids haven’t been able to use them much to really test them out yet. I won’t buy another bag… as I prefer ones we can use for non bento box lunch days.I’d give the bags a 3 and the bentos a 5. :)

Great product-Gave pros and cons
Bought these bento boxes for my preschooler and kindergartner for their lunches so we could get away from packaged, less healthier options at lunch. They love them! We get creative with what we put in there and the kids love the variety that the provide. I gave it five stars because it is a great product and we have been using it for several months now. There are some pros and cons:Pros: It allows a variety with the multiple slots, the thin slot fits a utensil (included or you can put your own) or a cheese stick. It is a good size for my 4 and 5 year old, it’s leak proof, and it fits in their lunchbox (I would measure your lunch box first, that’s what I did, but even though one was smaller, it fits. You just can’t put much else except a juice box in there)Cons: Because of the seal that makes it leak-proof, it is tough to open (even for adults sometimes). It is good, you just have to be careful not to send things flying. Also, you have to let it sit out to dry so that the little books get dry. Of course. Size could be a con if you don’t measure.Overall, great product for our kids. Just with a learning curve. Colors are great and as shown in picture!

Solid Build and Tight Seal
These containers work perfectly for our picky toddler. We like to provide numerous snack ideas now that he has moved into a more grazing type of eating style. The 3 sections allow for a good variety will not being an overwhelming selection. The seal on the outside is tight and does not leak but more importantly the seals between the sections is strong as well. They do not leak into one another and will not cross contaminate. This helps as the lunch box gets swung and flipped around. If you are an adult these might work well if you are really trying to stick to portion control when snacking.

Love it
We absolutely love this lunch box is big enough to hold food for my son for lunch and snack . It doesn’t leak and it came with a ice pack and lunch box plus was much less expensive than the others I looked at . I have been using this for months now and am looking to buy a second one because my son lost his .

So great for school!
I bought these for my kids, ages 8 and 11. I wish I'd had them sooner. The lid is easy to open and close but seals tightly so the various foods stay in their compartments - I put yogurt or applesauce in one of the compartments and it doesn't leak or transfer to the others. Our previous 'system' was a mix of various containers of different brands, styles and sizes (that would inevitably get lost or come home missing lids etc.) crammed in their lunch bags. And of course, all have to be emptied, rinsed and washed later...now it's one container, one lid - easy for the kids to see and choose what to eat, easy for me to pack and later, clean. It comes with a good quality, wipeable, insulated bag, a small gel ice pack (also nice quality) and a spoon and fork. I'll be sad when my kids lose the utensils, they're slender, long handled and just perfect with the set.One last note: it's pretty obvious by the picture, but thought I'd mention anyway, a standard, full size sandwich won't fit in any of the compartments. This hasn't been an issue yet, as at this time, when my kids take a sandwich, they only take half each and that fits great in the larger compartment with room to spare.Overall, I highly recommend this lunch box, it is a little pricey, but well worth it for the simplicity and convenience it offers.

good seal, good price
Super practical, works great and keeps the various compartments separate. My 3 year old has some trouble opening the box but I think this might actually be a great selling point. Colours are exactly as in the picture.
