Not so tough . . . to assemble or to use
Opening the box and looking inside it appeared to be delivered in a thousand parts but assembly was not as daunting as first appeared. Assembled in an hour and fifteen minutes taking time to change music and get real tools. It took nearly that long to unpack and unwrap the parts. Assembly instructions say that it come with all tools required and is true until the final step of inserting batteries which requires a fine philips screw driver. Instructions came with an addendum with instructions that while rail is vertical to put pin in rail and not frame, they would have done better to improve design or mfr process because original instructions were fine an ill placed hole is the problem, hole was not fully exposed with rail in vertical position. I ended up using a screw driver instead of the pin. Instructions state that the battery compartment is on the back of he console but it actually dangles from the wires connected to the console into the housing. But for the price I guess I got what I paid for. I have other ProForm equipment and expected it to be light duty. I use my equipment simply to have a little activity during the day after desk work all day. If you are looking for equipment for body building or serious aerobic activity ProForm equipment might not be for you but my ProForm stationary bike and treadmill have served me well for years. My biggest complaint as typical with ProForm is the resistance is fairly light. Trying this rower for the first time I thought this is pretty good, a nice starting resistance and then found the dial was set to highest resistance. Due to the bungy design for resistance I do not expect this piece of equipment to be useful for the years that my other equipment have been but so far good enough.

Okay
I ordered this with Amazon Prime's 2 day shipping, but it took 5 days to get to me. Amazon customer service was helpful, as usual, and tracked it down for me. The seat arrived with a 1.5" slash in it, but I had already started putting the rower together by the time I pulled that piece out of the plastic, and decided it wasn't worth the hassle of returning something so big. The assembly directions are easy enough and I'm thankful for the note at the end mentioning that there may be extra pieces (panicked for a second), but some of the steps required placing things EXACTLY aligned in order to make things fit. A couple tips: put the batteries in the monitor first thing -- and it helps to have an eyeglass repair kit handy because the casing has a super tiny screw. The rear stabilizer cover was a pain to get on, it was a tiny bit easier when the rail was lowered. Have a wrench handy because the tool they supply for that purpose is useless. I was pretty tired after assembly, so only tried it for a few minutes. It's okay. It'll work fine for me, but I'd be worried if I were looking to do a more intense cardio workout, it's a bit shaky. The resistance gear works well. I find the angle of the foot rests kind of awkward when leaning against the pedal stop. The rower is a somewhat bigger and heavier than expected, but still fairly compact. Much quieter than I thought it would be. Overall, it'll work for me, but I wish it had cost less for what I got.

I believe this rower will be ok to satisfy my needs
I believe this rower will be ok to satisfy my needs, I've used it for about a week and a half and haven't had any big problems except the foot rest coming unscrewed (needs a lock nut or something better than whats provided) and the straps being way too big. I think if you want to go hard on a rower then you may want to look elsewhere for a sturdier machine. The majority of the fasteners look hastily made (the pedal rod threads look like a child machined them, if you buy this then you may want to invest in some die nuts to fix the threads) and the screws and nuts are made from a softer material, so be careful when assembling as you may wrench them off or cross thread them completely. A few of the bolt holes did not line up on some of the parts, making it even more difficult to assemble given the poor quality fasteners. Also, the foot rests and velcro straps are apparently made for GIGANTIC people. I've found I have to roll up dish towels and place them in between my feet and the straps because there's no way I can properly strap my feet in without them. I plan on modifying the straps myself so they fit better. Overall, I wouldn't buy this machine again but I plan on keeping it as I got it on sale and it is better than the cheaper ones I have looked at.

"You get what you pay for"
I've only been using this for a little while, so no sense yet of longer term issues. Bottom Line: an entry level rower that will allow you to do this outstanding exercise at home. DON'T pay full price (I got it on a "Today's Deal") and realize it's not even close to "gym quality."If you're already a superstar rower who needs high intensity or if you're on the large side, I would shy away as well. It's put together like a home machine, not an industrial quality one. It's moderately hard to put together with some of the standard quality control issues you see in such stuff (I'll not comment on the fact that it's made in China)...take your time, use "real" tools if you have them, and stop frequently and have a beer : ) As far as exercising, so far so good....moderate tension levels seem to work well; it's quiet and reasonably responsive. It's a simple system and have yet to know how the bungee, etc., system will hold up...for now, the fact that I can use it on my time (I can't tell you how many times I wanted to use the rower at the gyms, but they were all occupied), while watching tv and get great aerobic and strength exercise without banging up my knees, (and at a reduced price) make this an OK buy.

Inadmissible ! La mauvaise qualité du produit est manifeste. A éviter absolument.Par ailleurs d'autres éléments grincent terriblement, la finition globale du produit est mauvaise.
