My 5-star rating here is really about value. For around $20, you get 30 dice and 6 lined dice cups, and a bag to carry it all in which is a very solid deal. If you're looking for an affordable set to play casual dice games with friends or family, this is a great buy and more than gets the job done. That said, you should not expect luxury quality or precision-balanced dice. The cups are made from relatively thin material, and the lining inside them is also fairly thin. The dice are reasonably quiet when shaking inside the cup, but they are noticeably louder when rolled directly onto the table. The dice themselves appear to be wood or a lightweight composite material. They feel durable and hold up well, but I would not expect them to be precision-balanced for truly competitive or statistical-level randomization. For everyday gameplay, though, they are random enough. In about 30 test rolls of a single die, I did see every number come up at least once, which is good enough for most casual players. Overall, if you're buying this set for fun game nights and not for high-stakes or tournament-level play, it offers excellent value for the price.

Do not buy! Dice are made with incorrect numbers in each side. Cheap wood dice with missing numbers, or doubled numbers on the sides. Cups are also plastic, not leather. Do not recommend.

YSK: These dice cups are surprisingly high quality and perfect for a game night. One thing to note is that the "PU Leather" mentioned in the description actually refers to the lining inside of the cups. This works really well to dampen the sound, making them much quieter shakers than the all plastic ones, which is a huge plus if you are playing late at night. The dice included in the set are really unique. They are made of wood and appear to be hand made and hand painted rather than mass produced plastic. They have a great feel to them and roll nicely. The included storage bag is also really nice quality and keeps the whole set organized. Overall, this is a fantastic set if you want something that looks and feels premium.

The cups are open top so good for shaking face down on a flat surface, or using your palm over the top to shake. These do cut down on the “loud” factor of shaking the dice, but aren’t silent. There is an included bag to keep everything together, and is big enough to fit all the parts together with ample room. Also included is a printout that contains Liars Dice game with complete instructions and rules. This makes this ready right out of the box for a quick game. These are also well worth having for any game that you’re using 6 sided dice for.
