More Fuselage Frame Boats

As a master tradesman I was so at home with the no nonsense, common sense style of this book following on from the first book ( Fuselage Frame Boats). They should be procured as a pair. I am currently building one of these designs for my 18 year old daughter.The writing style is fresh, clear, conversational and most importantly it easily informs the reader.The large type and detailed graphics make this volume a true workshop companion.The only niggle is the use of both imperial measurement and metric measurements; most of the world threw out feet and inches as a measurement form a generation ago, Australia changed to the SI metric system in 1967.Imperial measurement is a vexation to most people outside the US and the UK.This is a must have book and I highly recommend it to anyone who loves to make things of beauty.

This is a great book that is well written but BUYER BEWARE. This book may cause an increased desire to do crazy things like build a boat. I have been completely infected with the boat bug and have completed one boat and framed two others. Because of this tread lightly and enjoy. Thanks for another great read Jeff

The only reason I haven't given it a 5 Star, is that I haven't built any of the boats in the book yet. Used it when I built a Dave Gentry designed boat, and more useful than any of the out of print sources (most of which I looked at through interlibrary loan). Was VERY useful when doing my boat, even though both Jeff and Dave point out that their techniques are somewhat different. I would advise getting this book even if building a boat by a different designer. There are several designers offering boats, built with various techniques, but this is indispensable! I even used some of Jeff's suggestions in building my Gentry boat.

It's not easy to read, or follow. The coordinates are unnecessarily complex, the traditional method of heights and widths is much more intuitive..

Just like the first book with a couple new boats. This book could have been better.

This book is very informative. Ther is a lot of information that is very valuable and easy to use. Great book!
