Massive and delightful. A labor of love by all concerned.
Like the previous reviewer, I bought this book as a Christmas gift to myself. And what a delight!! This massive book weighs almost 10 pounds and flooded me with hours of memories. So much so that I had to put it down and return to it at a later time for fear of losing touch with current reality.I know there are plenty of Yoko haters out there but put that aside. What she has done here is a labor of love for fans. I cannot imagine a better book ever being produced. Limited to just 2000 copies, there is also a hand numbered lithograph included. Amazon's deeply discounted price makes this a must have for all Beatles fans. Wonderful!!

UK and US Collector Editions are the same
Collectors Edition by Grand Central Publ. (US edition) is 496 p., same as the UK one. The information that it's 448 p. is just wrong and the lack mention of this CE on Grand Central site is wrong as well. Many thanks to Amazon for the possibility to grab it at a great price.

So Glad I Found This
It's just simply beautifully done. The photos, which I have never seen before - and that is rare, are fascinating and take me back to the days when John and Yoko were trying to change the world. If you have an interest in the 60s and 70s, the Beatles, John Lennon, Yoko Ono - you won't regret getting this book!

Not the limited edition deluxe version
This is not the expanded Deluxe version as you would be led to believe in the item description. This is the second time I ordered this book... both times I received the standard version.

Gargantuan
To accompany the remixed version of John Lennon’s most famous and probably best loved album is a wonderful hardback book that gives an insight into the making of that record. It came out as a 320 page version but has also been issued in this collectors edition. Expensive yes, but this is a deluxe, limited edition and anything Beatles related (both group and solo) tends to carry a premium.Limited to 2,000 copies world-wide, mine is 1,658, this lavish set has an extra 176 pages with plenty of extra photos and text, of which the sections on Tittenhurst, recording the album, filming Imagine and Yoko’s exhibition have been expanded with the additions of essays on the three singles of the time. Coming in a cloth box, think of this as the ‘Imagine’ version of the Beatles’ gargantuan ‘Anthology’ book. The informative text is complimented by commentary from those involved, George Harrison, Nicky Hopkins, Klaus Voorman, Jim Keltner, Ted Turner, Alan White and many others (not always musicians) who give their thoughts on the project whilst those pictures add to proceedings. Also inside the box, which is why the price is expensive for a book, is a clothbound fine art digital print on archival paper (called a giclée print) of a photographic proof of an unused photo for the album cover. It’s all wrapped in a nice blue bow. Ostentatious? Probably, but this numbered edition, and it’s on this print where your number resides, is certainly one for the die hard Lennon fan. There are also plenty of surprises amongst those images; not only are a vast number previously unseen, you also get a nosey view of the floorplan to Tittenhurst Park, and it’s not as big as you might think, and a map of the whole grounds. And like that ‘Anthology’ book, it’ll take you a while to get through it. The only caveat is that many of the pages need to be ‘unstuck’, though this is a minor quibble, and when closed you can see blue edging with clouds.

In case you are wondering...
...this is most definitely the Collector's Edition of the book! I was confused as to whether this was the Collector's Edition or the regular edition because the book is so deeply discounted and the description lacks photos showing the product and then there is the one review claiming this isn't the Collector's Edition, so when it was discounted to below the price of the regular edition, I decided to take a chance and I'm glad I did! I bought it for a friend and he just LOVES it...he says the cloth covering is gorgeous as is the giclee print. He's also thrilled with all of the additional photos and information that the CE includes. I thought I'd write this review to set the record straight for anyone else who might be confused...if you are looking for the Collector's Edition of "Imagine John and Yoko", you are in the right place! I'd highly suggest picking it up now at this amazing price before it's gone as there are only 2000 in existence and they sure won't last long at this price! This would make THE perfect Christmas gift for any serious Beatles/John Lennon fan! Thank you sooooo much, Amazon, for helping me to make a very dear loved one very happy!
