Blew a fuse while installing
I blew a fuse for the screenWhen the screen wouldn’t come back on, I rechecked all connections and still nothing. I tried the 2 button 10 second reboot and the power button for 3 seconds adding the home button for another 10 seconds and still nothing. I tried to find a video on the proper screw order, didn’t find any, but did come across an article that described the problem and the cause. There are no instructions or videos on just how important it is to keep track of where each screw belongs.I removed the screws for the screen cables so as not to damage them while changing the battery, apparently I put the screws back in the wrong order. The screws that go to the screen cable connection cover are only a few tenths of a millimeter difference in length (0.5 at most, some 0.1) but if you use a longer screw where the shorter one goes it will cut into a printed circuit board (or short it out) just below the screw damaging some of the 50 micron traces (wiring) on the PCB.Apple could have used the shorter screw for all four locations, why didn’t they?I took the phone to a repair shop and they replaced a fuse $60.The battery itself seems to be working fine, there was just a lack of clear direction from the seller about the screws.

Holds Charge
Battery arrived as promised and undamaged. The box contains the new battery and a tool kit to do the job. The only extra tools I needed were a pair of tweezers, hair dryer, and a slim blade to open the phone case. The battery arrived with a 39% charge and after installation it was charged to 100% with no problem. It has been installed for three days now without any trouble. The battery charge will last me the whole day and I routinely charge my phone every day. Should I encounter any problems I'll update my review but at this point I totally satisfied with this replacement battery and recommend it for anyone needing a replacement battery.

Janbotek iPhone 5s batteries: 2 successful replacements!
I bought two of these batteries for the iPhone 5s last week. Both of our phones have had weak batteries for some time now, and since Apple doesn't cover the 5s in their $29 replacement deal, I decided I had to do it myself. Janbotek's were $19.99 each. Even though some others on Amazon sell a 5s replacement for less, I chose Janbotek because they got good reviews. The literature they sent with the product seemed to back this up, as they were adamant that I should contact them with ANY problems and they would take care of it. One thing they really encouraged was watching a video of iPhone battery replacement on youtube. I ended up watching about 4 different videos on this, as each one had its own emphasis on the importance of certain steps. Overall, the task was of just medium difficulty, but that may be because I've done some laptop repair before. I "practiced" on my iPhone, and the whole process took about 45 minutes, and it worked without a hitch. Then I tackled my wife's, and completed it in about 30 minutes. Fortunately, one of the videos suggested testing the iPhone before sealing it up, and it turned out that my touch screen didn't work because I hadn't securely connected one of the small cables; so, It took me another 10 minutes to backtrack and fix that up.This job isn't for everyone, but if you're good at following instructions, it's definitely doable. I can see how, with a little more practice, It could easily be done in under 15 minutes. For a job like this, I think it really pays to go with a company that has good reports from customers who have had to contact them with various problems. Although I didn't have to do that, as both batteries are working fine and the tools they sent were just what I needed, I feel the couple extra bucks I spent for a product from a company with a good reputation was well worth it.

Unable To Adequately Rate At This Time - See Below
I received the battery yesterday and read the instructions and then as directed accessed a "How 2" video on YouTube. After watching one video I'm now debating whether or not to attempt to replace the battery. The guy in the video makes it seem soooooooo easy. I have other issues with my phone (3.75 yrs old, screen has pulled away from the top of the phone, so I placed phone in iPhone 5s Case and now it is sealed inside due to getting EXTREMLY HOT many times). I think I'll stick it out until I absolutely have to change the battery and attempt to do so at that point or activate the other phone I have! I'm afraid if I try to free the phone from the case, everything will be a hot mess - go figure! So, at this point I'm unable to accurately assess this product.

Do Not Buy This Battery
The Good: The kit was complete wit everything needed to disassemble the phone and replace the battery. The Bad: The battery is garbage. It will discharge to about 40%, then all the sudden it will show 1%. It will stay on 1% for quite some time but I have no real indication how long I have. The seller mentions this behavior and suggest full charge and full drain. I've done this 11 times and still the same behavior. I do regret purchasing this battery as there is substantial risk of damage in changing the battery on an iPhone and now I'll have to do it again.

THANKS to the vendor Support.---original post---Purchased on September 30, 2018, but installed until end of October by a professional friend on an apple store repair shop on my Spare iPhone5c, worked as intended, the phone is used on the weekends as an iPOD, last weekend when I wanted to use it found the battery to be swollen, and rushed to the apple store to have it removed. I have no idea how to request warrantee since it is past amazon return policy (no button to return it)
