Love these and the price. I don't have to worry about proprietary replacement blades that are impossible to find or which are a hassle to order since they use standard utility knife blades. This itself makes me more likely to use them since I don't have to worry about babying another specialty cutting tool. The large thumb screw makes blade changes that much easier, and yes, the cutters do come with a spare anvil made of what appears to be a hard durometer composite plastic. Probably going to try them outdoors this spring for some selective pruning, because why not?FYI, if you can't read the wording on the grips they say "Master Mechanic".The only con for me is that they were not a Prime item when I ordered them, but they were still lower priced than other cutters of a similar style which didn't use utility knife blades.

Love this cutter and it's price. The best part is no proprietary pricey replacement blades since this tool use standard utility knife blades. I can now use this tool with no worries about nicking the blade. I use this to cut plastic strips, balsa wood strips, plastic pipes and silicone tubes. perfect square cuts. Great value for the money.

Uses standard utility knife blades but I switched out to HD contractor's blades to prevent any flexing under hard pressure.Works very well with these. Came with a replacement foot/anvil for the cutting edged. That was a nice surprise. Solid, strong and utility blade razor sharp. Great addition to the tool box.

These are the best garden clippers available....period! Can even prune smaller sized branches with ease. The best part.....the standard utility blade can be easily replaced with a twist of the hand screw - How simple is that. So, you continually have a razor sharp cutting blade. All the other nippers eventually dull from use....THIS is the answer!!! 5*****

My old pair had finally run their course. Bought these because they were so similar and couldn't find an exact copy of the ones I had. I love how the blades are stored in the handle and how it comes with a second anvil, but it doesn't cut the same as my other one did. This one is very hard, in most instances, to cut. Seems you have to use one particular spot, even with a brand new blade, to get a fairly decent cut. Very frustrating. Even my boyfriend, who owns a garage, had issues with it cutting as expected. Now that I know what to expect, I will work with them to get the cuts I want. I am just glad I don't have to do a professional job. The cutting I do is only for my personal use and I can and have adapted to using these.

It is a decent product, works as intended, comes with a replacement plastic bottom were the blade stops to cut. ( i don't know what it's called. See image) plus blades. It can cut plastic up to 1/2 inch thick depending on the hardness of it. (it's not intended to cut anything thicker than 1/2 inch)I don't know if the plastic blade stopper is sold separately. Too expensive and I returned it. Sheffield is cheaper and exactly the same. I had to pay for shipping to return item.

Great tool. Every tool bag, shop, garage, basement, etc. should have one. Cuts straight every time. Leaves no jagged edge. Including a second anvil is terrific. Just hope I remember where it is by the time I need it!
