Advent Calendar 24pc (Windel) 75g (101824)

As a child, every year my German godmother would give me an advent calendar filled with wonderful chocolates. Now that I have godchildren of my own, I have continued the tradition. Until recently, I have always been disappointed with cheesy, uninteresting artwork and sub-par chocolates from Cadbury's and the like. I was skeptical when buying this from Amazon because it was so much cheaper than other calendars on this site, but boy was i wrong - this could be the same calendar I got as a kid! This is a real German calendar with real German chocolate and an old-timey hand-drawn Christmas scene (it's just printed of course, I don't mean someone drew each box!). I ordered 6 and got 2 different designs. Great stuff altogether - I'll definitely be ordering more next year.

Our daughter "fell for" chocolate stuffed Advent calendars even before she began grade school and she feels strongly that her girls MUST enjoy the same routine in their young lives. I was happy to find a supplier with a religious picture on the box, since a lot of the calendars I've seen feature Santa and Elves more heavily. Despite exposure to other forms of Advent Calendars which are more religious or perhaps more artistic, this old-fashioned traditional German type is what it has to be in this family. The packaging was excellent, always something to fret about.

I'm overjoyed with the advent calendars! They're adorable and they have authentic German chocolate--reminds me of home. The price is considerably cheaper too; the other calendars I looked at started from $6 and went the whole way up to $25! This is a great deal, and I'll keep your service in mind next year.

This is exactly what I wanted. The chocolate is good and the kids enjoyed it. They arrived well before it was time to use them as well.
