Gardman 15480 2 x 11 x 23.5 cm Widger Dibber and Label Set - Multi-Colour

This year I started to grow garden plants from seeds. All was well until I tried to move some seedlings after they had germinated. Trying to get them out of the seed tray without damaging them was almost impossible. That is where the widger (a bit like a two pronged fork - see image) comes in. You 'lever' the seedling from below and mostly the whole thing comes out soil and all. The dibber is used to make holes to put seeds in but I'd planted the seeds before the dibber arrived. It has a measuring scale on it to easily make the right depth of hole.The labels are very useful especially if you plant a lot of seeds.Amazon asks reviewers to rate Sheerness and Thickness - I don't know what these mean. Thickness should be provided by the seller and be included in the product description. The dibber and widger have various thicknesses. The labels are thin about a millimeter thick.I have no idea what Sheerness is or how to rate it.All in all a hardy little kit for sowing and transplanting seeds and seedlings and at an excellent price. If you are going to grow lots from seeds you might want something more sturdy and/or attractive - stainless steel perhaps?

Small enough to deal with tiny seedlings. Pleased

Las herramientas de momento no le he encontrado mucha utilidad, supongo que es cuestión de ir aprendiendo. Las etiquetas están bien, una ves escrito no se borra ni con el riego. Me gustaría viniesen más en el pack.

Chili-Pflanzen zu pikieren und umzupfen.Die Qualität der Werkzeuge ist entsprechend gut und die aus kunstoff bestehenden Etiketten lassen sich sehr einfach und gut mit dem klein geratenen Bleistift beschriften.Wer ein solches Set benötigt, kann hier bedenkenlos zugreifen.

Super zum pikieren und zum Umtopfen von Stecklingen.Die Labels sind eine nette Beigabe. Alles erfüllt sein Sinn und Zweck

dieses kleine Pikierset ist ideal und erfüllt gleich mehrere Funktionen. Ich mache sehr viel Stecklinge und da erweist sich das schnell zu reinigende stabile Kunststoffbesteck als äußerst nützlich. Das Minischäufelchen ist auch bestens zum dosieren kleiner Düngegaben geeignet, das Gäbelchen zum anschließenden Einarbeiten. Ohne den Pikierstab sollte man keine Stecklinge in die Erde stecken, da sonst ein Abbrechen der weichen Triebe riskiert wird. Habe die beiden Dinger immer griffbereit in der Schublade.
