The crystal is casted in resen. I think it should not qualify as a "pure" crystal. What it is is pure crystal scraps casted in resen. I think that the description should say that. I am thinking about returning.

Not as pictured
I selected the aquamarine for a stocking stuffer for my son. It is not aquamarine in color. It is a collection of cheap looking chips of a cobalt blue color in what appears to be an acrylic resin. What a disappointment. It will still work as a novelty item and he may wear it, but I will never order from this company again.
