Installation on my 1993 Honda Prelude was remarkably simple, and should be identical for most any manual transmission car or truck . Just take off the old knob, place the corresponding rubber piece on top of your shifter's threads, slide the new knob right on, and tighten in place with the hex screws provided. Can't get much more simple than that.Fit and finish is superb, with a trim insert of your choice on the front, thick black leather with solid stitching, and a heavy aluminum core. You can easily grab this from the sides, and the insert is even contoured to fit your palm better. Several different styles of inserts for this knob are available; I opted to go for the carbon fiber insert.As for driving, I found that the knob's heavy weight allows it to carry more momentum between shifts, requiring less force to put it in gear. I can actually change gears in my Prelude much more quickly since the heavy weight allows me to throw it faster and with less effort. The massive overhang on the front makes gear changes from 1st to 2nd and especially 3rd to 4th particularly comfortable in my case.Overall, this shift knob is absolutely worth the steep cost if you take driving stick seriously. The heavy weight makes even shifters with the shortest, heaviest throws much easier. It's made of quality materials, and you can even install, adjust, and remove it with ease.
