Good coverage

The Hourglass Illusion Luminous Glow foundation is a luxury makeup product, for sure. It offers SPF 30 sun protection and provides a natural and glowy coverage. Based on the product images online, I chose to order color #3, which is for fair skin with pink undertones. It is sort of tricky to color match online, but I lucked out in this one and found the perfect match for my face. This lightweight foundation blends easily- I use a sponge to apply foundation, and was able to blend this formula seamlessly onto my face. The foundation color corrects and any redness or discoloration was easily concealed, leaving behind a glowy, even texture. Some foundations with SPF tend to be sticky and cake-y, but I didn’t find that to be true of this formula. Overall, this is a beautiful foundation, with the added benefit of sun protection and added moisture. I most likely will not reorder, however, given the price. My go-to foundation with SPF works well for me at a fraction of the price. I personally don’t find this foundation to be a good value for MY money, but, if cost isn’t a barrier to you, I’d highly recommend this product.

I am pleasantly surprised with how much I love this product. I have been starting to dabble with foundation as of late but my style definitely veers towards lighter coverage than full coverage. This is the perfect consistency in my mind in that it glides on really easily, but still continues to provide coverage. It is actually lightweight, which is important to me as I hate the feeling of a layer of 'stuff' on my face. Foundation can be really hard to color match when buying online- my tip to anyone else is to have chatgpt help you with this! I looked at the color swatch images and took a few photos of my face in natural light and it was able to select the perfect shade for me! I also love that this has SPF in it as that's so important, especially when the item is a bit on the pricier side. The price is slightly above my usual purchase point but I'm gonna be honest, I will probably purchase again when I finish this as I just think the quality and benefits are exactly what I'm looking for in a foundation.

This foundation is buildable and gave a really nice natural glowy finish without being overly dewy. Perfect for simple days but also you can build it up for a full glam. Blended really easily which makes it nice for beginners. Its high coverage without being cakey. Its really lightweight and not sticky. There is a good amount of product and you dont have to use much for it to look nice. The shade match was great. Would purchase again and definitely recommend it.

This foundation is nice. Applies smoothly over my other skincare and primers. The packaging is beautiful and luxurious, even in a squeeze tube. Has light to medium coverage, but you can definitely build it up to be pretty full coverage. Never looks cakey or dry. Easy to blend, has a smooth and creamy texture. Last a good while on the skin, when set with a powder. Ive noticed this foundation, on my skin, NEEDS to be set. If I don't, it never dries down and feels sticky all day.

The Hourglass Illusion Luminous Glow Foundation SPF 30 Shade 14 matched my medium neutral olive skin tone well. It’s thick & creamy absorbing nicely into the skin. The SPF 30 is chemical & it did not break me out. The beautiful gold component allows for controlled dispersal that’s mess free & proves great for travel. I have mature skin with an oily T-zone leaning dry everywhere else & large pores. You can definitely see & feel the hydration on your skin all day. I do get shiny with this foundation regardless of my skin prep but its not unflattering. Amazingly even if I could see it clinging to dry patches or slightly accentuating surface dehydration in my magnifying mirror from a normal distance my skin looked refined & polished. Cliche but it has to be said a little goes a long way. It provides light-medium to medium coverage. It wears well maintaining coverage for 10+ hours. The firming claims are TBD but every time I wear it my skin looks good. Honestly it’s been tricky having mature skin that has changed significantly in just a years time. My old foundations/skin tints are too drying. This gives me hydrating coverage that gives a bit of a blur lasting all day with occasional blotting. I’ve really enjoyed playing with different skin prep combinations to find my skins sweet spot with this lovely foundation. Overall it’s a solid performing high end foundation for the price point with a generous bonus of SPF 30 & skin loving ingredients. Working best for normal to dry skin, doable for combo, & not for oily.
