Thomas the Tank Engine: The Railway Series: The Three Railway Engines (Classic Thomas the Tank Engine)

I bought this as a little taster, before commiting to the big box set. This little book is beautiful! I have so many of the new cartoonish, (expensive!!) Thomas and Friends books for my two year old and passed over from when my 6yr old was little. Both boys lay on my bed with me and excitedly listened to the whole first story with a reading light torch, it was lovely. Love the way it's originally written and love the detail in the artwork instead of the big cartoonish, computerised pictures. Box set is in my basket for my youngests 3rd birthday :) something to treasure and pass on to grandchildren.

Its lovely to read, and it has wonderful illustrations!

My little grandson is now well on the way to being brainwashed into loving steam locomotives thanks to Rev. Awdry. At 19months he already waves at the steam trains on our local steam railway.Luckily, we all, in our family, have gone through a course of The Railway series so why deny the younger generation?

These are perfect little books for children, this copy was new, arriving very promptly, well packaged. Illustrations are colourful originals and the book has a hard back. Delightful present for a 5+ child.

This is a faithful replica of the original book, which is what I hoped for. Grandson loves it.

If your child loves Thomas the Tank Engine, then this is perfect. The first original stories with cute and original pictures. We loved reading it before bedtime!
