CD Quality Audio
As good as CD quality. Installed quite easily Notes on the install: - BE GENTLE: This is a cheaply made but effective cable - Try not to bend the ends too much - It's a very basic cable: If needed a soldering iron and a little solder will fix anything the breaks if you're accidentally a bit rough during the install

Changes everything. Must have
I installed this in my 2005 bmw 325i e46. install took a good 30 minutes. I had to drill my own hole into the setup. Sound quality is amazing. this is a must have for music lovers. have been using this for a year and it still works flawlessly.

Upsetting lack of Quality
Iโm a very handy guy to say first off. But the pins and cables were soldered incorrectly, colors were mismatched, and overall just very upsetting quality. After I rebuilt the cable the sound quality was decent and it functioned correctly. I will not buy ever again. Stick with bmw specific.

Delivers as expected, no surprises
Installed this today on my 2006 BMW M3 (E46 chassis). Works as expected. Install with the arrow side facing up toward the car roof. I installed the other way at first and it did not work - no AUX would ever register. Reversed the cable and bingo.

Works great, easy to install and cheap - make sure ...
Works great, easy to install and cheap - make sure to check to see if your e46 radio will support Aux (most after 2003 do) and check out online videos to see how to remove stereo. I ran the aux wire under center console (videos show how to remove and access under center console) and drilled a hole in plastic under change holder to install the plug for an aux input (see attached photo). I also installed a bluetooth receiver in the space (had to run a power supply for the BT) and now I have bluetooth on my E46 all hidden but easy to access. Be careful with the install of the wire if you stress the aux wire you can have problems also I found it is easier to place the plug end of the aux cord in the wire harness (bottom right - shown as the CD in the attached photo) before you plug it back into the radio, just be sure the side on the aux plug with the little arrow is on the top, after you plug the harness back into the radio push the aux plug into the radio to be sure you have a good connection. After the install you will want to increase the aux output on the radio to 5 for the best sound, just go to the stereo sound adjustments where you adjust the bass, treble etc.

forcing me to listen to the boring old radio or breaking out CDs that are 10 ...
This product was a lifesaver for me. I own a 2003 BMW 330Xi that does not have an auxiliary option, forcing me to listen to the boring old radio or breaking out CDs that are 10 years old. After owning the car for about 6 months I got tired of listening to the radio and purchased an FM transmitter that connected my phone or iPod to the cigarette outlet, and used a "blank" station which I would set on the transmitter to play the music in my car. This worked at first until I went through about 5 of these gadgets in less than 3 months. I decided that I next would purchase a whole nre head unit to put in my car, until I was doing some research and found that my car radio actually had an auxiliary input in the back of the radio. I used this cable to install into my radio. It was very simple to do on my car after a few YouTube tutorials. Just make sure since this cable has a female end that you also purchase an auxiliary cord to connect from the cable to your device.

Low quality parts
Got and it broke like a toothpick. Piece was working ok for a couple days but was super loose and falling off the cord. Then just broke one morning.

The product works, but not as good as OEM.
This aux adapter works and I get good audio so I will give it 3 stars. I cannot give it 4 or 5 however, because there are a couple small details that makes it annoying to me and will eventually lead me to replace it soon. The first thing is that the radio doesn't give the aux option until your phone, mp3 player, etc is plugged in. This is annoying because it means that you have to plug your phone in and remember to change the input on the radio everytime you get in your car otherwise it wont play. This is annoying to me because I use the aux with my phone and my phone is set to play music as soon as a jack is plugged in. Which means that I used to be able to just get in the car, plug in the phone and start hearing music before I drive away. However, with the way this cord works, there is always a delay in plugging in the phone and the car detecting the aux (can take anywhere from 30sec-60sec) and that means that you are going to be subjected to the annoying noise (commercials, loud djs, etc) from local radio stations everytime you turn you car on (unless you turn off/mute your radio everytime you turn the car off.) The second issue is that I am unable to charge the phone while using this aux adapter. If I plug in the charger (from the cig light adapter in my e46) the aux input stops working. Honestly, I think both issues are caused by a possible grounding issue in the wire of this adapter. So, I will go for OEM before my next long roadtrip because I will defintely need to be able to charge my phone and listen to music at the same time.
