The logitech C930e is the best available HD recording webcam available in the market today under the 10k price range. Comparing it with the C920, another popular webcam from Logitech, or even MS LifeCam studio, the C930e is far superior in audio quality, field of vision and responding to motion without drop in frame rate. The updated firmware and the logitech camera settings application allows you to control various aspects of the camera including zoom, auto focus and white balance. I believe that the previous version of the firmware and software did not allow the white balance to be turned off however that is taken care of in the latest versions. The product, per say does not require any drivers and is true PnP. It does not ship with any software however the software and the drivers (though not required) along with the latest firmware can be downloaded from the Logitech website. I found the camera to be compatible with almost all commonly used applications such as Skype, OBS, XSplit as well as Camtasia. Deending on the intended use, this is the finest webcam from the Logitech stable in the given price range and definitely deservers the premium it commands over the C920 or the LifeCam Studio.

I conduct a few courses online and do a few other sessions through my desktop. I used to have an old Logitech 720p camera and resisted the urge to upgrade. Finally bit the bullet and got this, and wish I'd done it much earlier. The quality is outstanding (even if the wide angle might be a little too much for some people, though Logitech Capture will help). Even if not this particular model, consider an upgrade if you do a lot of video calls or create YouTube content.

The webcam is awesome. I needed it to teach a school by Skype, so I settled for it. The price was the most competitive and they delivered the cam like two days before they promised! Packing was perfect and staff, communications worked crisply. The cam is the best in its class. It doesn't take more than two minutes to set up. All the software recognized it instantly - Camtasia, Skype, Windows 8 etc. There are some driver files that need to be downloaded from logitech, so you can adjust lens angle, zoom, pan, tilt etc. You can manage without that, if you want to tilt the cam manually. If you're conferencing or talking to someone remote then it's much easier to control the camera by the software. The mics are stereo (both sides of the lens) and pick up my voice well. I didn't use them for my presentation as they were picking up the whoosh of the overhead fan. Used another usb mic. The arrangement below the mic looks strange until you hook the cam onto your laptop screen. It just doesn't need any clip and holds well. Is also provided with a threaded socket below so you can mount the cam on a tripod for other shooting. This way you get reasonable resolution pics shot straight from your lappie. Yes, it's a very good buy and beats built in cams and other small versions hollow. Worth the extra money. Go for it. Thanks Amazon team.

I had two options before considering to purchasInge this web camera- new PC with Other brand Full HD camera without onboard video-audio compression OR Logitech C930e having H.264 onboard compression algorithm. I've connected 930e to my old PC and Hall TV for my daughter's online KG classes over Microsoft Teams. Though the PC is very old (2012) , there isn't any lagging and both video and audio is smooth. I found Privacy shutter useful. Cable length is adequate. The camera adaptor can be used with any shoe over tripod fort Vlog content creation as well or mounted over TV for wide field of view during online school dance practice for kids.. The auto correct light conditions gives bright video no matter what ever the lighting conditions is in the room.

This camera picture quality is very good. I use mac book pro but the apple's inbuilt webcam isn't that great when it comes to clarity. This Logitech c930-e is excellent replacement for Mac book pro webcam. Its easy to setup and picture quality is full hd.

Update: Replacement camera also has hot pixels. Albeit not as bad as the older one, so I’m keeping this is unit. Don’t have time to play the exchange game again and again. I don’t know if it’s Logitech trying to pass shoddy products to customers or it’s this dealer who has a stock of defective products they’re trying to sell out here in India packaged as new ones. Either way - Very Bad. 1) A camera this old shouldn’t be at this price 2) if it is at this price then it should work perfectly whatever condition I throw at it 3) this issue is prominent in a darker setup or dimly lit room. The older cameras attached picture you see is with the privacy shield on 4) I really hope we get a stronger competitor to Logitech in the webcam market Although in perfect conditions the camera works great - owing to the hot pixel issue in dark environment has left a negative impression and I need the dealer and Logitech to work harder to bring better products to market. I'll update the review regarding the service of the seller if the replacement unit works fine. Barring product defect Pros- -1080p quality is good - low light quality of footage is good - cable is of a decent length - lens cover Cons- - Overpriced black market rates for all web cameras in India - Received defective unit - Non-detachable webcam cable - Poor support for Mac Software - In testing the camera it intermittently switches between VGA and 1080p footage. Not sure if software defect or hardware. The webcam industry needs a overhaul and Logitech needs to be kicked off its throne.
