The media could not be loaded.  These candles are great! Such a simple idea, too. I'm not sure if they've fixed the listing, but they do require two AA batteries. (Does anybody want to buy a 12-pack of AAA rechargeables? LOL) Otherwise, they are what they say they are. Do they look exactly like real candles? No. Are they close enough that people will assume they are real? Yes. The pro's on these candles far outweigh the con's. No wax spills making a mess everywhere, no panicked "did I blow out the candles" in the middle of the night. The light is very close to that of a real candle, but a little dim, as if it had a deep pool of melted wax rather than freshly lit. I use rechargeable batteries (get some Enloops here on Amazon, they're the best!), so I just leave the candles "burning" 24/7.

I bought these candles because I was trying to get in on the craze of LED luminescence. While I'll admit, these look pretty good from 8ft away (or more!), they're still just a little *too* cheesy for this picky candle-lover. The flicker mode is too jerky and unrealistic, but on steady mode (where only the "flame" moves) it's not too bad. Color is warm, not too orange... One of the candles I received was manufactured poorly and the wire the "flame" dances on was bent, causing the "flame" to be stuck in one place and thus not 'dance'. Ultimately returning them because of the defect in the one candle, but I would be lying if I didn't say it was because they're cheesy as well.

I love these and plan to use them all year, not only during the holiday season. The flame looks real from two feet away. Great if you have animals or small children, or otherwise don’t want to worry about a live flame. Timer feature works great. My only criticism is that the remote control can be temperamental. And use long-lasting batteries!

These are wonderful. The remote control is great. I don't have them on in the picture but they flicker when they are lit. So real looking at night. So pretty. The candlesticks are from Amazon too.The remote has different settings... more light, less flicker etc. Just love how romantic it makes the setting without having to worry about candle wax or fires. They each require two AA batteries - which you will have to purchase. Not a biggie for me. The price was fantastic. I will buy more sets for gifts. It's nice to just sit and turn them on from afar with the remote. What a find. Love them!

My wife will not actually light a candle, though she loves candles; I think she's afraid she might go off and forget they're burning and burn the house down. These look pretty realistic and come on automatically at nightfall (you have to cause this to happen). She loves them and now has 6 ... I think. However, they do use either 2 D-Cell or 3 AA batteries, so it's either a good idea to have some rechargeable ones on hand or find a place to buy really cheap ones.

I was anxious to get these. I have some Luminara brand candles I got locally. These were MUCH cheaper. They're not bright enough for my taste and the motion flame aspect of them doesn't really work too well. The remote works SOMETIMES but not all the time. I'd be embarrassed to give them as a gift. There's so much stuff on Amazon from China and these are one of them. I saved the money but ended up buying two Luminara brand candles as well....so no money saved ultimately. 3 stars overall: they work but not that bright, not that user friendly or consistent and overall CHEAP!
