Great kit! A lot of detail but it also makes you want to go even further w/ upgraded weapons packages, more detailed interior, decals, etc. This kit begs for detailing and upgrades...see attached photo of the finished kit....and don't forget, it's 1/72nd scale so it's real small!

Looking forward to putting it together
I'm getting back into model building and this looked like a fun model to build. I'll probably pass it down to my nephew.

The dragonfly that tweeted,
Cessna's A37 Dragonfly was a development of the T37 "Tweet" trainer aircraft that was used as a primary trainer by the USAF between 1957 and 2009. The Tweet was so named due to the piercing whistle its engines produced and was also known as the "Screaming Mimi" or "6,000 pound dog whistle". The A37 derivative was designed as a counter insurgency close attack aircraft for use in the VietNam conflict but it remained in service with the US and a number of South American countries for many years after.Academy may not be a well known brand among less experienced modellers but they produce accurate, well crafted and high quality kits along with the best of 'em. The Dragonfly kit is a case in point. The plane itself is a small one and this 1/72 scale plastic representation is suitably delicate, with fine detailing and recessed panel lines. The kit has no particular vices and can be built up quickly and relatively easily although a steady hand and sharp eye will be needed.Although there are no vices, there are some points to note. The undercarriage (particularly the nose gear) is extremely fragile and I replaced the nose wheel strut with a length of unbent paperclip. The kit is a tail sitter so you will need to weight the nose (I always forget) if you are displaying it on the ground. Attaching the external stores (there is an impressive selection of fuel tanks, rockets and bombs) is extremely fiddly and you will definitely need to take your time here. You have the option to finish the kit as either an VietNam era USAF bird or a much later RoK AF plane. Both sport identical camoflage colours - tan/lt green/dk green upper surface and a lt grey underside. At 1/72 your only alternative is the Hasegawa option which is fairly elderly and has raised instead of recessed panel lines. I have no experience of this kit but I understand it to be somewhat inferior to Academy's offering.

An ITEM in little scale
The price didn't matches whit the scale.I thought it was a higher scale ( 1:48) but it was in scale 1:72. The information wasn't clear . I couldn't find the scale but the price was expensive even I thought it will be bigger. I was a deception when I saw the box.

Piccolo e buono e bello
È piccolo e stranamente pieno di armamenti.la sprue è ottima non ho avuto problemi di innesti e quasi si evita lo stucco. Molto delicato quindi attenzione all'approccio nel montarlo .
