We wanted to like this.....it is exactly as shown. 2 issues we had....our daughter was able to bit a piece of the purple wing off within 1 day.The bigger problem. The company will send you an email when you purchase the product...touting a 100% satusfaction gaurentee.....contact them if you have any problems........well we did......and received NO RESPONSE. For that I would recommend you look at a different product

My 6 yo autistic daughter literally chewed this up and spit it out. I bought this specifically to give her something safe to chew on. I wanted something visually appealing and designed for chewing that didn't disintegrate into dangerous plastic bits like most toys. Unfortunately, this did disintegrate. I discovered strange turquoise bits on the floor and later saw that it was the chewed up and spit out wings. Now that the wings are chewed off, she can gnaw this thing to oblivion from the edges through. Kinda defeats the purpose of the chewie, doesn't it?

Nice size for my preschooler and so cute! I like that different parts of the owl are different textures so she can find a place to chew that's most to her liking. (We bought this as a deterrent because she's been grinding her teeth. Unfortunately she hasn't really taken to it yet, but I don't blame the product for that! It could be it offers too much resistance for her, since she also has low muscle tone. Perhaps it's enough of a workout after a minute or two that her jaw wears out and she loses interest. Just speculation.) Otherwise, well made. We are happy.

We really wanted to love the owl chewie. My almost 6 year old daughter needs to chew to focus and she loves owls a jewelry. Unfortunately the wing stated fray and fall of after only 2 days of light chewing during focused work time. We bought the unicorn too, we will try with better hopes. The real downside is that we had to take the owl chewie away and she had really fallen in love with it and was very upset. But we didn’t want to risk more of it falling apart and her choking.

This is a great product! There are a couple of points as to why:1. Even when not worn around the neck, the piece cannot be swallowed2. It can be detached from the strand easily and washed thoroughly3. The material is of high quality and not easily erodedSome background:We have a girl of almost 4. She's highly intelligent but has problems of sensory nature. Sometimes she's compelled to chew on things. I wanted to order the munchable but was hesitant because we live in Serbia, and the only way I could have got them was through the primary shipping, which is more expensive than the product itself. And I can't group many products, because it amounts to more than the max limit for customs, and then I have to go through a procedure which is a pain. Anyway, We've been delaying this until she swallowed a small wooden toy (it came out the other day, luckily). At that point, I just placed the order and got the item within 3 days. I'm so sad I didn't decide to do this earlier.She loves the little owl and chews on it intermittently. It might be a bit more chewing in general (then before the owl), but the overall state is better because she's not constantly under parental threat as not to chew on things. So I think this is a win.

I am a return purchaser. A few months ago we got our little her first chewlery. The blue owl with the empty heart. She was a heavy chewer with that one. She ended up chewing the feet off. I let to much time pass up contacting anyone about it. Her second chewlery we got elsewhere and it was not anywhere near the quality of the blue owl. So when she lost her second one at the movies I ordered the purple owl. My thoughts being it doesn't have a hole for a weak point. She is already over the moon happy and has had it only a few min now.

We bought this necklace to gently help redirect one of my kiddos from biting their nails. We’ve only had it a day so I can’t comment on durability or anything like that but I would and will purchase more from Munchables! With that said, I’m not a reviewer but inside the little pamphlet that comes with the necklace was a sticky note saying, “Thank you, Laura”. My kiddo absolutely loved the personal touch and stuck it under their pillow. So thank you Laura!

I saw this as a tip to stop finger sucking and it totally works. When we told our daughter to use this instead of her fingers she took right to it. We can tell the difference when she doesn't have it on her.
