This is Definitely One of the Best Crinkle Cutters Out There - Here's why!
In my experience, this is one of the best crinkle cutters out there, and here is why:First, this crinkle cutter is solid and very well-made!Second, one of the things I most like about it is that the handle (i.e. where you bear down on it) is right in the center, compared to many others that are shaped more like knives, with the handle out at one end. This makes it much, MUCH easier to cut through things like big fat dense potatoes!Third, the design of this crinkle cutter allows you to cut through things using just one hand! And while generally this would be important to me, right now it is extremely important, because I have a broken wrist and so can only do things with one hand. That's right, I was able to make crinkle cut sweet potato fries, using this crinkle cutter, with just one hand!!And, as it happens, I was also able to use my air fryer to turn those crinkle cut fries into delicious sweet potato fries, all, again, with just one hand!! (For those who are interested, this is the air fryer that I have: GoWISE Electric Air Fryer )So in my book it's this crinkle cut french fry cutter and an air fryer for the one-handed win!But even if you, like most people, have two fully-functioning hands, I do believe that this is one of the best crinkle cutters out there.

Not just for vegetables. EGGS too.
Let me talk ya into this one. Even if you dont care about the vanity of a vegetable tray at your next gathering, this is great for cutting up your vegetables just for home. The ridges this cutter produced in my cucumbers made it so nice for holding ranch better than a straight cut does when dipping. Also, makes for great marinating. (Think cucumber salad and such) I recommend this to anyone who enjoys vegetables.

Works, with effort
It's better than the smaller one-piece unit I tried but still doesn't work great. It's kind of awkward to come directly down on the vegetables and it doesn't go all the way through most of the time, which means you have to twist the blade to get slices. The space between the top of the blade and the handle means you can do things like fat cucumbers or parsnips. I might try going with a more traditional knife style crinkle cutter next time.

I wanted to love this
I cut 7 pounds of cucumbers for pickles with this thing & it was miserable. It’s not really sharp enough. And it’s huge so it’s klunky to work with unless you have huge hands (I don’t.) anyway, I probably won’t use it again, it would have been faster to use a mandolin or just a knife.

Very wobbly blade. Cannot cut waffle fries
Was hopeful for this but this did not perform as much as I anticipated. As you can see it comes some as waffle fries but others it doesn’t. I tried the cut/rotate 90 degree/cut method but it still did not cut well.

Blade not flat and can be bent.
For the most part, I have loved this product and have used it to cut many vegetables. The two complaints I have had with it would be that the blade doesn’t sit flat. When I cut cucumbers or lost veggies, it doesn’t fully slice through them. I am always left breaking them apart. The second issue I had was a bent blade. I had I used the item to cut sweet potatoes and I guess the blade wasn’t sturdy enough because I ended up bending the blade. See picture.

Great Product
I have had this product, that i originally purchased through Pampered Chef, for more than 15 years. I went to purchase another for a friend from Pampered Chef and found they no longer carry it. So I came to Amazon and found it. Was so happy to find it that I purchased two.......one for my friend and another just to have on hand.

I like it
I bought this to use for chopping vegetables. I have arthritis in my one thumb and it can be a nuisance to use a knife at times. This is easy to hold and chopped potatoes and carrots quite well. It is also nice to cut a head of lettuce in half and then in half again. Low cost and effective.
