Gilded Reverie: Expanded Edition

I was absolutely blown away by this Lenormand deck! I’ve always loved Ciro’s Tarot art with his use of rich colors and interesting images parading through his decks so when I saw that U.S. Games had published a mass market version of his Lenormand deck, I just wanted it. The first thing I delighted in was the clever box that this Lenormand deck comes in. At first, it looked like it should slide out like a sleeve but to my amazement, it actually flips up and opens like a treasured book. The front of the flip lid is the beautiful picture of the Birds card and is beautifully accented with gilded scrolling and highlighted imagery. This was my first hint of the absolute treasure inside!The cards themselves number from ( 1. ) Rider, to (36.) Cross, a standard number for a Petit Lenormand and have breathtakingly shiny gilded edging! The backs are a lovely dual red and burgundy checks with decorative golden colored scrolling and border effects. This would be an awesome Lenormand introduction for beginners to start out with. The card stock is the same high quality that sets U.S. Games decks apart from the all others. The deck itself is a tad larger than traditional Lenormand decks at 2.75” x 4.125” and shuffles amazingly. I love this deck amd I would highly recommend it.

A stunning deck by Ciro Marchetti, the Gilded Reverie Lenormand is an all time favourite of mine and the one deck I use for all my "Lenny" readings. The cards themselves are stunning with gorgeous color saturated images and gilt-edge trimming. The deck features the standard 36 Lenormand Cards with additional Man, Lady and Owls(Birds Cards). With this expanded edition also comes 8 extra cards which are Time, Bridges, Dice, Mask, Well, Compass, Labyrinth and Magnifying Glass. The Dog card has been modified and this seems to be the only visual change to the original 36 card deck. The deck comes enclosed in a sturdy magnetic case with an 80 page LBD ( Little White Book) featuring the cards and their meanings with some sample spreads. Not much information is available about the many different ways the extra cards can be read in relation to the rest, so there does appear to be a learning curve with this. All in all, a great deck to see and work with!

I absolutely adore this deck... it comes in a tiny box with a magnetic flap and a wonderful little book not the usual few paper bits and nothing needs to be said about the cards be it the images by Ciro Marchetti or the paper quality , the gilded edges... it's just wonderful even if you don't follow the Lenormand spread, it makes for Great clarifier deck

Fantastic is a beyond word

I loved it ! I think that more or less sums it up! Yes it’s different to read but it tells you everything with accuracy and depth if you are strong to catch the energies. The pictures are beautiful and having those extra cards is just a cherry on the ice cream.
