Had this working out of the packet under Ubuntu 22.04 LTS and 24.04 LTS without issue, in conjunction with Cisco 1800 and 1900 series ISRs. Fine on my Windows 10 laptop too. No need to locate and manually install drivers in either case. Doesn't get any easier than this.

Works on the HP ProCurve switch
Purchased this cable as my laptop doesn't have any serial port so a USB console cable is needed. On my Win 10 laptop it detects the cable and added a COM port immediately when the cable is connected to a USB port, and I am able to access to my HP Procurve switch with it.

Fantastic for the price!
This Cisco lead gives unparalleled value for money as I feel the build quality is great considering the price. Its functionality and fit work amazingly so far after using it consistently every day since arriving and the RJ45 end has stood up to the task so far! Very very pleased with it and will definitely recommend!
